Who had the best run on Batman? I really liked Chuck Dixon's stuff in the 90's when he pretty much wrote all of the bat titles. Paul Dini's (recent) issues have been entertaining. Grant Morrison may have the biggest influence on the bat titles. I missed most of Ed Brubaker's stuff. Any other contenders out there I missed out on?

I haven't read all of the Batman runs, but definetly Morrison's run is amazing

It really is too hard to choose so I simply refuse to. But I will note that I loved Brubaker's run and Morrison's current run.

Bumping this to ask which is the best run, excluding Morrison from the conversation?

I enjoyed Dini's stories.

I really like Snyder's Batman.

My personal favorites are Morrison's, Snyder's, and Dini's run. Though I feel Tomasi should be mentioned as well, I feel that he's a bit underrated.

Morrison. O'Neil is a close second.

Grant Morrison is the very best Batman writer ever.

I think in years to come, Snyder will be looked back on with similar awed reverence to Morrison...people tend to look back more fondly at the past and criticise the present, hence Snyder's books aren't fully appreciated yet.
