Its no secret that Batman has loved many women and some of his most prominent love interest are villians for instance Catwoman and Talia. So I like his pairing with Zee because he has a very caring, good hearted person who can not only help Bruce overcome the grimness of his world and endure in it. What do you think!
Batman
Character » Batman appears in 23648 issues.
Bruce Wayne, who witnessed the murder of his billionaire parents as a child, swore to avenge their deaths. He trained extensively to achieve mental and physical perfection, mastering martial arts, detective skills, and criminal psychology. Costumed as a bat to prey on the fears of criminals, and utilizing a high-tech arsenal, he became the legendary Batman.
Batman x Zatanna? Would you like it and support it?
It would probably be more reasonable to think it could work out than him dating a civilian or someone he should be putting in jail.
I like the coupling because there's none of that good guy/bad guy element with Bruce and Zatanna. It's just two heroes who have tremendous chemistry pairing up, and it works well.
I'd like it.
I'd love it more than anything else, seriously Bruce had relationship with too many women, I'd like to see him in a long lasting relationship with someone and if I could choose then that someone would be Zatanna nobody else, its very much needed IMO, but somethings should be clear - Zatanna should not become dark, if anything make Bruce a little bit light, don't make her a secondary character or simply a love interest for Bruce, don't make either of them look bad just to make the other look good. We could see a real character development for Bruce and Zatanna here if its done right, and finally get Dini to write it.
No. Especially since Zatanna basically said f you in JLD and sided with WW. Besides, it's supposed to be Batman x Catwoman.
I would love this pairing. It would be great character developement for Zatanna. The two also grew up together in Gotham soit would make sense for them to be together. Both of them also wear black. It would be cool to see Zatanna use a bat cloak spell to make her and Batman appear or disappear.
This and him and wonder woman are relationships that bat fans really want, but never get, besides in dcau
Sure why not? While I've a soft'er' corner for Bruce-Diana, in New 52 however, with how Johns' made the characterization of both of them, that renders it implausible. But Snyder's Bruce and Azz's Diana, hmm, there's a bit of possibility.
Talia, after the end of Morrison's run is practically nonredeemable, there's no way an actual solid, believable romance can come out of that relationship after this. While I'm sure there will be writers down the line who will try the very thing, such is the nature of comics, but that's not likely for a while.
I have always considered Catwoman to be the most redundant, uninteresting character in Batman mythos. Her relationship with Batman is nothing but a tiresome, repetitive foreplay that will never have an end, will never amount to anything, and whenever she appears in Bruce's titles, her main purpose of being there seemed to be the cat to use the bat as a scratching post. I am sure her solo titles were more readable(haven't read them), and less exasperating than that in pre new 52, because really, anything would have been an improvement on that. ('Hush' excluded, of course). Having said that, Selina Kyle, without the mask, and the whip, and the skin tight leather, with her Batman:Year One origin story, demanded respect. She was curved out of Gotham's underbelly, someone who has lived through the worst that humanity has to offer, and came out fighting tooth and nail. You can't but admire her. And then the reboot happened, and they gave her, of all in heaven and earth, the Batman Returns origin story... now I can be disinterested in her unconditionally.
So again, why not, it will be the best friends turning into lovers thing, Zee and Bruce can be in the modern rendition of 'When Harry met Sally.'
@toplel: You know, I'm not sure myself. If they aren't, I suppose there's scope and time to develop it.But thinking about it brings Constantine into mind, and I actually like the bloke!

Thank god, I thought I was the only one.
I'd read it.
I'd also support a Flash (Barry Allen) x Zatanna pairing
@martianmanhunterisbetterthancy: waaaa? No sorry its just to out of place

I'm sorry, but Batman and Zatanna is not? They had no interaction in the comics before Batman the Animated Series, yet people support their romance now. At least Barry and Zatanna have a history. I'd like to see that explored.

A retcon that came after the animated series. So what's your point?
@martianmanhunterisbetterthancy: did you read gates of gotham? Because well even there fathers were frends
@martianmanhunterisbetterthancy: also they once had a dream they were both married it was interesting and it was out of place

It's still a history, whether it was retconned or not doesn't make it any less real.

Isn't that what I'm sayiing about Barry and Zatanna? @lifeofvibe is stating that romance is out of place, yet they share a history. I'm arguing that Bruce and Zatanna shared no interaction before Batman TAS, so the romance between Zatanna and Bruce was out of place, and then is retconned into comic history. So how can he say Barry/Zatanna is out of place when Bruce/Zatanna never existed until the animated show?

Likely because he doesn't understand the context in which the Barry/Zatanna thing happened and has probably never even seen them interact.
For the record I think they'd make a cute couple.

Thanks for understanding. I actually enjoy Batman/Zatanna, but I'm just saying Barry/Zatanna would also be nice to see get more love.
@peppeyhare: ugh again and again and again oh well it'll never end
@martianmanhunterisbetterthancy: I agree. It's a pairing I never would have thought of, but it makes sense. I think they're very compatible.
@lifeofvibe: I feel the same way too man witch is weird since I ship Superman with Lois.
@toplel: Fair point. But it's pretty much prerequisite of DC, or any other comic company for that matter to bring back old ideas and make a use of it. With this, the numbers of Batman books are in publishing, definitely keeps an opportunity open. If and/or when they go for it, we'll just have to see.
