Batman vs The Justice League(Endgame)
@xiix: Where are the remaining ones?! Which issue are they from?
So....
Wonder Woman was taken out by a lie
Flash was taken out by a batmarang (the fu*# ??)(that's how you write batmarang??)
And both aquaman and superman was taken out by a gum
It seems to be very low showing for the JLA and not such a high showing for batman
The whole JLA were taken out so easily and with things they should have easily react to....
@ecstaticgrace: I know just wanted to make sure I didnt miss something.
Don't have my copy of Endgame on me, but I think the poisoning was explained as having taken place at some charity/hospital event the JLA attended a few weeks prior. Don't remember for sure.
@tantani: Flash was taken out by the nonstick coating you use on pots and pans. The baterang falling was about how long the fight took. Although I agree it wasn't a great showing for anyone I thought the laso of lies, or whatever you call it, was a good idea.
Same. Bruce can't operate in the DCU and not acknowledge that magic and mythology are actually real, with figures from both worlds walking around and causing trouble on a regular basis. Makes perfect sense that for Diana he would then delve into that realm to find an object that could be used to neutralize her. And it's not something that allows him to overcome her with strength or speed, but through trickery, which plays to Batman's own speciality.
This thread really punctuates how stupid this fight was in hindsight. There was no point to having the Justice League in the story other than fan appeasement. Unlike the far superior Tower of Babel (whose methods for disabling the various members of the Justice League were far more creative and logical), Endgame provides no consequences for Batman keeping countermeasures against his colleagues. And the threat level shifts significantly after the first two issues, when Batman goes from solo-ing the Justice League in one of his many, Deus ex Machina suits to running around Gotham away from Jokerized mobs armed with sticks.
