I think Batman's no killing policy is linked to the fact if he did kill he would turn into the thing he doesn't want to be like a criminal or a mad person.

If he used magic, they'd probably still find a way to get out. No matter how you cut it, the insanity of his rogues gallery makes them too unpredictable.

I don't agree with Batman's no killing policy, but I understand it from a story line point of view. Batman could kill Joker and get away with it. It would be self defense. Self defense is defense of self or others. Killing joker to stop him from killing others is still self defense. And he's Batman. If he wanted to kill Joker and no one find out he could. How many must die so Batman can feel good about himself or hold what he feels is the moral high ground?

What doesn't make sense is why the people of Gotham haven't killed Two Face or Joker etc. And why doesnt GCPD have a shoot on sight order for people like Joker, Two Face, Freeze etc?

Since when is it Batman's responsibility to murder Joker?

I don't see you storming a prison with guns to kill every rapist and murderer.

Pull up a scan of a Batman villain that's escaped 3 times a month. Honestly just sounds like a random number you're pulling from thin air. Same with your earlier statistic on villains in Gotham escaping "every other week".
