    Unless Batman has like a power fist or something, he should have his hand completely broken and not be able to even move Supes with his regular punches. Mostly talking of the 2nd scan, not sure if the 3rd they were under a red son and I know if the 2nd he broke a few knuckles but it should have been his entire hand.

    I don't see why he'd break his hand. It wouldn't hurt Superman at all, but I don't think it would hurt his hand more than punching a brick wall. I might break my hand doing that, but Batman shouldn't.

    Well I guess it depends on how hard Batman punched.

    @Wolfrazer: True, but he punches people like Killer Croc, and accidentally punches walls and crates all the time. I assume he'd hurt his hand real bad, but not break it. Unless he put his all into like one punch.

    He called Bruce a bad father to the Robins and it pissed Bruce off. In a far later issue though, Alfred beats the pulp out of Superman, it was pretty awesome.

    @gibbet: This :P

    I don't know why everybody says Batman should break his hand; Superman is supposed to weight the same as a normal person and people have pushed him out of the way before.

    Edit- Never mind I looked it up now it makes sense. Now all I don't understand is why Cyclops doesn't break his hand punching Wolverine.

    I still don't think it really makes sense though, The force on Bruce's hand should only be equal and opposite to the force of his punch.

    @thebhramabull: That was what i thought before I looked it up, but what happens is the Superman's body is so dense that Batman's hand stop its motion almost instantly as it hits it; and that acceleration creates the force that breaks Batman's hand.

    I know that's why punching a brick wall hurts more than punching a pillow.

    But there are plenty of things Bruce could punch that will stop his hand almost instantly without breaking it. No reason why Clark's face should be any different.

    Martial Artists regularly punch brick walls, buckets of gravel, concrete etc in order to toughen up their knuckles, all the while without breaking their hands.

    I havent seen a Martial Artist punch a brick wall full force before. I frequently see them stacking tiles and breaking those, but that largely works because the tiles crack eacthother. Remember, gimmicks dont count. In essence, Superman is harder than human bone, if human bone is slammed against something substantially harder than it repeatedly, it will crack.

    The problem wasn't that Superman was overpowered, it was the fact that he was extremely unlikable in the film.
