Batman overrated?
Just because he can't beat Superman doesn't mean Batman isn't amazing in his own right. You don't have to be such a hater Time Keeper.
The fact that Batman can defeat so many villians without the use of superpowers says a lot for him in my book. But I can't see him beating Superman in a fight if they were both willing to kill each other.
The Time Keeper says:
"Who do you hate? C'mon, you gotta hate somebody!"
That sounds like it would make a good new thread.
The Time Keeper says:
"Oh, my bad. I thought you meant on fourpower. I can hate whatever comic character I want. We all have characters we hate, I hate Batman. Who do you hate? C'mon, you gotta hate somebody!"
I really don't have to hate anyone.
The Time Keeper says:
"Keep in mind, Buckshot may lecture you for hating, lol ;)"
I'm not lecturing anyone, I just think your reason for hating Batman is foolish. From what I've gathered, you don't like him because he's only human but can still hang with super powered people and tons of people love him for it.

I personally don't hate Batman. I think some of the Batman stories: Dark Knight Returns, The Cult, and Year one are some of the greatest of all time. But I think that the stuff that he get's away with is a little outrageous. Being a normal man, he really shouldn't be able to battle and survive the way he does. If it were "realistic" (i use this term loosely because we are talking about comic books) he would have been wiped out a long time ago (he sells too many comic books to be killed off). At least say he takes some kind of serum that makes him as strong and as fast a human can be a la Captain America. Because if he is genetically normal, just well trained, he would be getting his a_ _ kicked by anyone with superpowers and half a brain.
The Time Keeper says:
"Buckshot says:"I'm not lecturing anyone, I just think your reason for hating Batman is foolish."Okay, you're telling me that I'm foolish for my OPINION?? Who's hating now? Seems pretty hypocritical to me! We all have different opinions about different things. You like Batman. Great! Good for you. I don't like him, good for me. But don't tell me I'm foolish for my own opinion though. That's foolish. That's exactly what this forum is for! "BATMAN OVERRATED?" My guess is that's the name of a forum for people to give their opinions of whether or not Batman is overrated, and other related opinions of liking him or not. What's the problem with me voicing my own opinion, whether anyone agrees or not?"
Wait, so you're saying he's foolish and a hypocrite for having his opinion that your reason for not liking Batman is foolish, and you say that you have a right to an opinion. Well isn't it hypocritical to jump on him for voicing his opinion as well ? Sounds more like a personal vendetta than a reasonable argument.

The Time Keeper says:
"Told ya, Bucky. Everyone hates someone."
First of all, I never said that people don't hate characters, I don't even have a problem with people not liking characters, I just don't agree with why you don't like Batman. Just like you can hate him, I can think your reasons are stupid. Second, your still wrong when you say "everyone" hates someone, becuase I don't.
Ok, so, because I don't hate characters I'm a fanboy? And aren't you also here on this forum expressing your thoughts about comic book characters? There's no need to try to be insulting.

"Buckshot says:"Ok, so, because I don't hate characters I'm a fanboy? And aren't you also here on this forum expressing your thoughts about comic book characters? There's no need to try to be insulting. "Uhh, I seem to recall you saying my reasons are stupid? But I'm not supposed to be insulting. Got it."
Just because he states his opinion that he thinks your reasons are stupid does not mean he's insulting you. He's making a general statement not a personal attack, the only one actually throwing any insults around seems to be you.
The Time Keeper says:
"Right. So when I he says my reasons for hating Batman are stupid, its simply him stating his opinion. But when I say Batman is stupid, I'm hating?? Yeah, cuz that makes perfect sense."
I dont recall agreeing with what he said, I just stated that your logic seems flawed.
And I dont recall disagreeing with his opinion of Batman, I only disagreed with how he handled the argument with personal attacks.
You people are going to drive me to drink. But if anyone is overrated, it's SUPERMAN. However, I understand this is a Batman thread, so I'll leave it at that.
Bringing this back to our favourite guy in a flying rodent costume, Batman has beaten Darkseid before, albeit with help. Checkout the Supergirl story arc in Superman/Batman, while the heavy hitters (Supes, Barda and Wonder Woman) are scrapping, it's Batman who gets Darkseid to acquiesce to letting Supergirl go. Of course Batman would lose a straight fight to the heavy hitters and Darkseid gives him a kicking for his trouble, but there's more to winning a fight then leaving your opponent in a pool of his own blood.
The Time Keeper says:
"I concur.I hear ya, Val! I tell ya, some people's kids!!"
Are you referring to me?
