If batman and Daredevil switched comics how would crime be in Gothem and Hells Kitchen. Would Batman strike more fear into Daredevils villains and vice versa. Also whos intimidation techniques are more effective.
Batman
Character » Batman appears in 23646 issues.
Bruce Wayne, who witnessed the murder of his billionaire parents as a child, swore to avenge their deaths. He trained extensively to achieve mental and physical perfection, mastering martial arts, detective skills, and criminal psychology. Costumed as a bat to prey on the fears of criminals, and utilizing a high-tech arsenal, he became the legendary Batman.
Batman in Hells Kitchen
It would be interesting to see DareDevil take on some of the stranger characters in Batman's rogues gallery (Mr. Freeze, Scar Face, Poison Ivy) because I feel that most of the rivals he faces in his books are mostly ninjas and more down to earth mob criminals. Batman would have Hell's Kitchen cleaned up in a week because he doesn't have any of Matt Murdock's personal responsibilities (lawyering) and problems. It would be fun to see him take on Elektra and the Hand.
@FatihBATMAN: Actually its supposed to be the Hell's Kitchen in Manhattan. Marvel isn't like the DC universe. In Marvel everything is supposed to be happening in real locations (usually New York) unlike DC's Metropolis and Gotham cities.

DD's city is called Hells Kitchen? uncreativety at its finest there :P
Inner City of New York where Daredevil reigns supreme. Also known as Clinton.
Clinton (aka Hell's Kitchen) is a part of New York City

... Batman, all of his focus concentrated into a single neighborhood alone?
It's as close to Christmas as he's ever likely to get.
This pretty much. I see crime ending a lot faster in Hell's kitchen.

I'm somewhat new to Daredevil, but I don't see quite the same kind of fear in the common criminal toward Daredevil that I do Batman. In Marvel's NY, these people are used to living around super powered heroes. DD is just the one that happens to patrol their neighborhood. I've also seen a couple mentions where criminals comment how DD won't kill them. I know Batman doesn't kill either, but his persona and legendary reputation seems a lot more played up around Gotham.
Another difference I see is that Batman's quest has changed more than Dardevil's. Now Batman spends more time taking out psychotic super freaks, training proteges, and assisting with JLA-level threats. DD on the other hand still seems to be dealing with crime bosses and the one-man street-level war on crime. While Batman still goes out from time to time to "patrol," I get the impression that in many ways he's moved beyond that.

DD hasn't always been like that it is fairly new. Before Miller he was more like a cheap version of Spider-man. He was off in SF with BW for some time and also had a Sci-fi inspired period. Batman did a lot of different things before he got transformed in the 80's. Ironic enough also by Frank Miller. It is funny how people think that DD always has been this crime noir superhero.

Yeah, I understand that much of the status quo has to do with Frank Miller. And like most, I think Frank's changes were for the best. They certainly were in the short-term, seeing as the book was about to be canceled. I haven't been following Mark Waid's current run, but my impression has been that DD is still a street-level superhero. He's not getting calls from the Avengers, like Batman gets from the JLA.

Well DD is a street level character make him fight with the Avengers would just seems stupid. He has nothing to do in a fight with Thanos, Loki or Galaticus. Even though he has done some quest appearances lately. Some changes a good, some just plain stupid. This would be plain stupid and make no sense. Also people should stop see DD as Marvels Batman. It is way to simple and they are to were different characters. Both in their civilian lifes and as superheroes.
Gotham would be a tall order for DD imo. but Hells-kitchen is a vacation spot for bruce
It'd be like christmas
batman strikes more fear into his opponents than daredevil doesn IMO, his techniques are more effective.

Maybe. But then again DD is pretty scary as well.

yup, also bats even managed to scare scarecrow whom even black lanterns couldnt scare.
Batman has an easy time. His only remote competition is the Hand, but all Daredevil's other villains (Kingpin, Bullseye, etc) go down fairly easily.
On the other hand, poor Daredevil cannot possibly save Gotham. One could argue that he's as highly skilled as Batman, but he does not have half of Batman's wealth, gadgets, or resources. He'd do fine against low level Batman villains, like Penguin, Two Face, or even the Joker himself, but the second he runs into someone like Clayface or Poison Ivy he's dead.
@mrmonster: agreed
