It's been a while since I've read Hush, so I can really only answer the first. Huntress attacked Catwoman because Huntress was under the effects of a modified version of Scarecrow toxin.

This is my biggest gripe with that book, nothing makes any sense in that story. People are out of character and inconsistent with the books characterisations. This is why a group of people are saying that its overated.

This was my favourite story the first 2 times i read it. I read it again last night and i have to say - meh.

Batman gets subliminally influenced? Surely something similar to Zurr-En-Arrh should have kicked in? Batman mentions how out of place it is that the Riddler is unaffected unlike all his other foes and then...drops that line of investigation only for Riddler to be a key character? Master Detective indeed. I still think it may be my favourite art in a comic, either that or Superman / Batman Supergirl. And i love the fight between Bats and Superman and to an extent i think they nailed the dynamics between Batman and Catwoman. But yeah, i wish i hadn't re-read it now!
