i'm listening to podcast about this as i type they're talking to morrison they'll have a 2 part story right after r.i.p. then it goes into final crisis and he said after that everything will be different unfortunately he didn't say anything else
i think tim and damien are too young to take up the cowl right now....todd's to violent it would be like knightfall all over again...catwoman? not going to happen she may be like a mediator or something like a judge of who gets it....the only obvious choice is dick

Theory: Bruce dies/retires and either Dick, Jason or Thomas take the mantle just to die in the end, meaning that Damian still becomes Batman but not until another one dies

anyway another thing came to mind, ongoing series.
Both Nightwing and Robin have their own ongoing series that have both sales and quality at the moment meaning that there's not a good reason to cancel them, however if any of these two become Batman those series would have to be cancelled (unless someone else also takes the mantle of Nightwing or Robin)
Then again Morrison announced that there is a Jason Todd ongoing comming soon (how they'll make that work I don't know)
If the ongoings get in the way of candidates to become Batman then we can take out the 3 principal candidates and also take Catwoman for obvious reasons.

Thats a true point but right now DC is pretty much high everytime they make a decicion so they might actully cancel etheir one of their series...

Has anybody seen the picture in he begining of R.I.P 1 where the robin looks really young Damien young and the Batman doesn't have his face shown. I don't th ink Jason wants to be bats, Dick doesn't want it. Hush idk why that would be, i mean he hates Bruce. Maybe to ruin his image. But i mean the way they draw Tim he looks grown and his mannerisms he's got the role down pat

Nah.... he's got his own book that does alright plus it has solicits after RIP, as does the Nightwing book.
Maybe someone has mentioned this but.. why was Catwoman's book cancelled? Is she going to take up the mantle?

Tim will be the one to get the cowl because Nightwing was Batman once and he'll probably say some crap like he wants to move on from Batman's shadow and can't go backwards, no way they'll let Todd have it he's way to far from what Batman is in terms of how to handle evil and would just kill everbody if he was Batman and Catwoman is well a woman not a man so she can't be BatMan and they already have one Batwoman

Jean Paul was bad a$$, he could've taken the whole Batman Family and still kept going, but he shouldn't be Batman again
Once is enough for anyone other than Bruce to be Batman anymore times and someone else just isn't as interesting and plus if he did become Batman again he'd probably go off again an Nightwing or somebody would have to take him down
