To pre-order or not to pre-order, that's always a big question with the high profile video games. Then, of course, there's the collectors' editions. That adds another decision that has to be made.

With Batman: Arkham Origins, it's a pretty safe bet that comic and video game fans are going to get it. But should they go all out and get the complete package. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has now revealed the collectors' edition for North America, Australia and New Zealand.

This set will be available on October 25, 2013. Limited quantities will be available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 with a retail price of $199.99. This edition consists of:

· Exclusive Arkham Origins highly detailed premium statue featuring LED effects produced by TriForce (Height: 9" Depth: 11.5" Width: 13")

· 80-page, full-color hardcover art book measuring approx. 7.5” x 10.75” x .5”

· 2 key pieces of evidence taken directly from the Gotham City Police Department crime lab

· Batwing Prototype Schematic

· Anarky logo stencil

· Wayne Family Photo

· Assassin’s Intel Dossier, including files on the 8 assassins, as well as Black Mask’s contract

· 1^st Appearance Batman Skin: Look just like Batman did during his first appearance in Detective Comics #27, released in 1939.

· Deathstroke Challenge Pack – Unlock the ability to play as one of the world's deadliest assassins! Usable throughout all the Arkham Origins Challenge maps. Also includes two bonus challenge maps and two bonus Deathstroke Skins.

· Bonus (not available in Australia / New Zealand): Necessary Evil: Super-Villains of DC Comics– This new feature-length documentary from Warner Bros Home Entertainment focuses on DC Comics’ most terrifying villains. Legendary actor Christopher Lee narrates the film.

· The PS3 edition will also include the Knightfall pack as an exclusive piece of content

The game will retail for $59.99 so if you take that into consideration with everything you get, it's a pretty good deal. The question is, do you have that much money on hand to devote to the Dark Knight. It is very very tempting...

Like all the stuff, and would totally get it 1) Didn't already pre-order the game or 2)it came with the UK Batman Joker statue.

It's probably justified but 200 seems too excessive to waste on just one game. The only things I would like that are not game related would be the Statue and Art Book. I'm sure the skins you can already get just by preordering right?

What is the UK one like?

Are they going to release the trilogy games together in some sort of special collector's edition? Because I rather get that honestly.

I'm one of those people who prefer to get the bundle edition with everything on it, rather than each separately.

I would buy the european one, if I wouldn't already get the Sideshow Batman Premium Format Figure in October. Thats enough money spend on a Batman statue for one month, so I am going with the regular game edition. I know I am going to regret that after a while, but I cannot rationalise getting another statue in that month.

Speaking of PS games, I'm really looking forward to getting my PS4 (asap) and games like Drive Club, Killzone: Shadow Fall, and that remake of Abe's Oddysee.

Yeah, it kinda sucks the ps4 won't play ps3 games from disc.

The Collectors edition is actually 119.99 not 199.99. I checked it out on multiple sites and Comicvines the only one who reported it being 200. This is WAY more reasonable and I'll almost definitey get it for that much. 200 was out of my price range though.

Of course it is always PS3 and XBOX 360! Why am I not surprised?

Actually, I'm going to skip this one at the moment because I'm pretty darn sure that they'll be an upgraded PS4/One version not long after the fact.

Anyone else notice that they added Batman's "purple gloved" first appearance costume as an alternate.

I want this, but why do they punish other countries excluding items or offering different items?

I absolutely cannot wait for Arkham: Origins, especially since the Arkham franchise is, perhaps, the best set of comic-based video games yet. Unfortunately, I do not have that type of money to spend on this game. I honestly would rather spend that type of money on comics, movies, and other interests. This game is definitely great though, especially with this edition.

I'm not spending 200 on a game. I think I'll get the uk one though. It has less stuff but still has the statue and book which is what I really want. And it's cheaper

I'm not sure which I'll be getting... I prefer the UK version's statue, but this one has a whole lot more stuff that I also really want like the wanted poster and the glow-in-the-dark map.

There's 3 versions. The standard, collectors edition and the definitive edition. The one shown at the top is the definitive. The one with Batman holding the Joker is the collectors.

What I don't understand is why I can't pre-order it for Xbox One. Why would I continue to buy 360 games a couple of weeks before the next gen console comes out?

Oh hang on we now have DVDs but I'll continue to watch VHS...???
