Bruce Wayne, who witnessed the murder of his billionaire parents as a child, swore to avenge their deaths. He trained extensively to achieve mental and physical perfection, mastering martial arts, detective skills, and criminal psychology. Costumed as a bat to prey on the fears of criminals, and utilizing a high-tech arsenal, he became the legendary Batman.
Underrated by many for a bunch of dumb movies, she can act, sure you know her for that dumb movie with Ryan Goseling, but both of them can act, she has class, style, acts like an intelligent person and is funny, so there isnt a good reason why she isnt bigger right now.
Eva Green
Sure, lets type cast her, lets be honest, Eva Green can do anything she wants and own it, besides the fact being sexy in a weird way i didnt knew some one could be sexy.
Emily Blunt
This was an obvious choice, Emily Blunt has made a bunch of roles and can do anything.
Olga Kurylenko
Models have a bad record in making movies, the few ones that didnt sucked werent amazingly good, Olga can do anything, i mean she can do serious roles, Magic City is an example of how great she is and not only that, she can do action movies and sell to be a bad ass, even when she is really skinny and small she looks like if she can kill any one in those movies.
Rhona Mitra
Have you ever notice some one that should be bigger, but for some reason isnt.
Rhona Mitra is the main example or one of the best ones.
Thomas Dekker
More famous for being John Connor in the TV show, has shown some skills, maybe is a little to old, but Jason must be in his early 20s, so isnt a big problem, as long the actor is around the age.
Say No to Dawson Casting: Guys in their 40s as teens is wrong.
Ezra Miller
Sarcastic? yes
Brilliant? yes
Personallity? yes
He can play roles that arent easy for people twice his age and it make it look easy, sure he could be a little too young, but again Jason age must be in his early 20s.

He is probably still under 20 (he can't be more than two years older than Tim and less than 6 years younger than Dick in the pre new 52).
He is clearly over 20 though. It doesn't make sense because of the idiocy of DC, and they can try and claim otherwise...but he is clearly at the very, very least, 20.
I love reading bad fan casts on the internet. Not saying this one is, but it seems people always cast such obvious choices that make no sense. Like Bryan Cranston as Lex Luthor just because he was bald and a little evil.
Is there an issue I missed that specifically states her mothers ethnicity as Chinese?
edit: Birth of the Demon states that she is mixed Chinese and Arabian. It doesn't say to what level she is Chinese though, and I always though she looked more middle eastern to me. I would be fine with Damian looking half white and half middle eastern.

There is nothing racist about wanting a character portrayed accurately as in the comics.
Race can be changed when the character is not prominent and/or it it doesn't impact the character.
While changing Lex to black may not impact the character too much since he would essentially be an evil Mr Terrific, and may even add an interesting layer despising Superman further because Superman didn't have to deal with racism despite being an alien, the character is too prominent to change.
You can disagree with that and argue that it's fine to have any character be any race or whatever, that's fine. But to call people who disagree racist is insulting, inaccurate and downright disingenuous. It only makes you look foolish, no matter how "progressive" you might think you are trying to be.

His 18th birthday was in Detective Comics #790 (shortly after Tims 16th in Robin #116), so in he pre 52 he would be probably 19 or 20 at the moment.
And since in the new 52 most characters are a bit younger he is there probably 18 or 19.

Seems reasonable, but nope.I maintain Jason can't be that young and have had the training/adventures he did.
It all depends how much time has passed in the comic book world, and we don't know. We also don't know how the reboot affected things.
If he would have been 18 in Detective Comics 790 which came out in 2004, then he was born in 1986 which would make him 28. With the reboot and things being moved forward in time a bit, him being 24/24 seems reasonable.
@muyjingo: Micheal B. Jordan casting choice, look how people is going bananas based on the fact he is black.
He is an amazingly great actor, maybe the only actor in the cast that make sense and people is over him.
The guy playing Reed insulted them and pretty much call them idiots.
But they still blame Jordan, because he is the reason the movie is going to suck, they fail to point why beyond well his siter is white and he is black, even when in real life that happens with twins.
It has nothing to do with how wrong the director vision sounds and the fact the casting isnt remotly as solid as it should be.
The whole thing is a huge joke to the reaction to Micheal B. Jordan and the fact Marvel decide to use Elba as the Black Viking.
@fallschirmjager: @derekvang: Wow, missed it until now, huh. As much as I want to though, I can't see Elle as KK. Kate was very tall, lean, but muscular, and no-nonsense. Elle Alexandra, despite being SOOO gorgeous, is extremely thin and has very little muscle, and also has such a sweet and playful voice which I don't think would work. Then again she is also a great big nerd, meaning she might actually respect the character and prepare for it accordingly. So... maybe.
