This looks like a very nice and smart use of back-up stories. Instead of having the usual unrelated stories randomly printed at the end, something in the same tone from the same creative team, expanding the story of the current foes.

Ever since I read Batman RIP, the "Court of Owls" has been a nightmarish adversary. Plus seeing what the writers come up with changing the origin behind "that night" still has a lot of questions. And now Alfred's dad is involved? Oo, Mystery..

More Batman is always a good thing!

This sounds very intriguing to me. I just hope there's enough money in my wallet to keep up....

I grew up with the 8-page backup stories and really miss it. They can expand the current stories or than again the can be a differernt subject matter and still be good stories. I am all for it.

@entropy_aegis: we saw how OPed talon was in Batman 2 i think. Imagine if it's a whole secret society of assassin's that are all able to beat up Batman.

Could be cool, but they'll need to be good.

The concept won't work,that's simple.How can there be an organization of nameless fighters capable of matching Batman? especially if Batman will be fighting multiple of them and the other inferior members of the Batfam will be taking them on as well.

I was pretty let down by James Gordon being a born psychopath.

Dunno why people are complaining about this crossover when there were already three in the pipelines when this was announced (Swamp Thing and Animal Man/I, Vampire and Justice League Dark/Stormwatch, Voodoo and Grifter).

Am I gonna have to read Batwing for this?
