    UPDATED PAGE COMMENTS:

SirAmadeus Reginold: “I remember trying to explain the whole "Out-Of-Game-Interactive-Case", that I was convinced existed, to a friend not too long ago. However, this friend had never played the game (Nor any of the previous games), and isn't much of a Batman fan (Unlike myself, a total fanatic) so I don't think the premise was explained so well. Then I find this, so well explained and thought out with many theories I developed myself as well as some interesting ones I never quite deduced, and I'm relieved that there are others out there that think outside of the box and are able to recognize when we've got a mystery on our hands. It was really fun reading this and it was a great find. You did a really good job putting this together. [SPOILER EDIT] With that being said, I would like to say that this is a great page that needs to be much more popular and definitely got my wheels turning about this case again from more angles than before. So thank you and keep up the good work.”

    Thanks for the comment!

Concerning the explanation for how The Joker appeared to be dead in the wheelchair and hooked up to a flat-lined heart-rate monitor in the Steel Mill: of all the deceptive “Joker” related events that occurred, this one is, by far, the most complicated and impossible to deduce with 100% certainty, as there are, technically (and especially in a fictional universe), a variety of different possibilities that could potentially explain how this particular deception was pulled off. However, considering the situation in hindsight and in relation to the overall, conclusive revelations of this case, it can certainly be narrowed down to the most logical, highest likelihood of probability…

Out of the various different possibilities that could potentially explain this particular event, only two were actually directly-hinted-at-and-alluded-to within the Arkhamverse games and comics and it is only prior to the conclusive revelations of this case that these two possibilities seemed to be the most plausible explanations. The first was actually directly hinted at in the Arkham City Prequel Comic, yet it seemed to be the least likely explanation after solving the overall case and ultimately wasn’t included in the final edit because of lack of available space in the post:

--In the Arkham City Prequel Comic, Hugo Strange manipulates Batman into infiltrating a TYGER Security base in order to observe and study Batman’s various tactics and fighting styles. Strange was also particularly interested in the technological capabilities of Batman’s cowl, determined to find a weakness in it that he could potentially exploit and use to his advantage against him (which hints at yet even another possibility -that the computer operating Batman’s Detective Mode scan could have been hacked or overridden somehow into processing data from a rigged heart monitor).

However, it the cut scene it clearly shows Batman’s Detective Mode scan focused directly on the body itself instead of on the flat-lined EKG machine, which seems to discredit this possibility as one of the more less likely, improbable explanations.

The second possibility that was directly hinted at is the fake-death-concoction theory, encouraged by the Cyrus Pinkney case in Arkham Origins and also reinforced by other events in the Arkham City game and story, which ultimately became the alternate theory most considered and elaborated on because of its overall relevance to the case and because of how the body in the wheelchair seemed to regain consciousness in the flashback, as if waking up from a drugged sleep (yet that could have also been, just as easily, part of the overall deceptive “act” to further reinforce the fake-death-concoction theory itself and to confuse and misdirect everyone from understanding what really happened).

And interestingly enough, while doing some research into possible fake-death-concoctions in the real world, I stumbled into some amazingly far-out info on the legendary Haitian tales of the shamanic vodou priests, known as the “Bakors”, which intuitively led to another inspirational, mind-blowing revelation that could potentially blow the lid off the Cyrus Pinkney case and conclusively solve one of Gotham’s oldest mysteries…

“Bokors in the religion of vodou are sorcerers or houngan (priests) or mambo (priestesses) (…) Bokors are featured in many Haitian tales and are often associated with the creation of 'zombies' by the use of a deadening brew or potion usually containing poison extracted from puffer fish. This potion makes the drinker appear to be dead and thus he is often buried; later, the bokor will return for the "corpse" and force it to do his bidding, such as manual labor. The "corpse" is often given deliriant drugs, mainly datura,[3] which puts them in a detached, somewhat dreamlike state. Its state is likened to being mind controlled.” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bokor

…Amadeus Arkham studied shamanic practices and magical rituals, which must have been how he learned to create the fake-death-concoction used by Cyrus Pinkney…

…In Batman: Arkham Origins, there is a side mission to find all of the Cyrus Pinkney Plaques and solve the mystery surrounding his death, which is referred to as Gotham's oldest cold case. (…) Batman eventually visits Pinkney's tomb and discovers that after crossing Henry Cobblepot in a business matter, Pinkney feared for his life and learned that Cobblepot planned to poison him. To counter this, he enlisted the help of Amadeus Arkham to fake his own death and resolved to take revenge. Although this completes the mission and solves another murder (Cobblepot died soon after the supposed death of Pinkney, in what appeared to be an accident), Batman notes that he still hasn't learned what ultimately became of Pinkney…

…As it’s commonly deduced in detective work, “this is just too much to be a coincidence” …take a look at the correlating events and the related pattern of the names…

…Cyrus Pinkney (worked closely with Solomon Wayne) (used the fake-death concoction created by Amadeus Arkham to fake his death in 1855 and became a murderer)…

…Cyrus Gold was a murderer who sought to escape justice by hiding in Slaughter Swamp (over a century ago, in the late 1800’s), where he met a fate worse than death. He was somehow murdered and his body was dumped in the mystic swamp, where he was resurrected by a combination of the swamp's mystic properties and a strange thunderstorm, which destroyed most of his memory and transformed him into an immortal zombie creature, who forgot who he was and what he did, only remembering an old nursery rhyme, after which he named himself “Solomon Grundy”. He was found by a traveling circus and became part of the show before being found by Ra's al Ghul, who realized that Grundy had actually been dumped in a Lazarus Pit. Ra's sought to understand the properties of the Lazarus Pit and its powers, and did so by using Grundy as an experiment, repeatedly murdering and resurrecting him (in hopes of discovering the secrets of immortality). Cyrus ended up in a cycle of being killed and then revived (over and over again). Dying dozens of times from the inhumane torture only to be brought back to life for more, he was left broken in body, mind, and spirit. The beast grew to relish in his own pain and suffering and inflicted the same on anyone else who was unfortunate enough to wander across his path. Having been brought under the control of The Penguin for many years, Grundy was used as a weapon to wipe out anyone who would stand against Cobblepot's criminal empire...

…Again, “this is just too much to be a coincidence”…

..."Cyrus Pinkney" must have changed his name to "Cyrus Gold" after he faked his death ... and became "Solomon Grundy"!

    (continued:)

Interestingly, there are also a couple of significant clues to be found within Cyrus Pinkney's Crypt itself. "Gold" coins have been placed on top of his tomb. There is also a discarded, large neck manacle laying on the ground, near the back wall, on the other side of the tomb (very similar to the ones used to restrain the TITAN Thugs in Arkham Asylum). The neck-restraint is basically two half circles connected together with bolts on each end. The two half circles of this one are laid on the ground in such a way that they seem to form a pattern for the letter "S" (the top half of it also resembles the letter "G") S. G. = Solomon Grundy.
