Why do think Batman vs Superman will be like Batman running at Superman with a tiny piece of kryptonite. Why don't people think of Batman making powerful weapons or power armors based on kryptonite or red sun radiation, like Luthor has done? As for the record, no I don't believe Batman can beat a full on Superman. I just want to know why people think all Batman would do is bring a shard of kryptonite and run at Superman, and not prepare more extensively like Luthor does.

Probably because Batman running at Superman while wielding Kryptonite is what is often shown.

Because most of writers and pretty much people in comic books, like to show Batman as the ultimate badass.

So they make him a dumb brute with a rock, because that is "cooler" that an smart guy with a plan.

So they keep making instance where Batman only need to run at Superman with a rock.

Even if it doesnt make any sense.

Superman would own Batman if he was Superman Prime.

Clearly, Batman would lose without krypton, but with Batman always finding enough strategy's to outsmart Superman.

It's kind of.. Well, Batman loses. If your asking about the movie, well Superman isn't TRYING to kill Batman, there you have it folks. Batman loses.
