This is going to be amazing but I actually think i'm looking forward to the Man of Steel moreThat is coming out in 2013.
No doubt this movie is going to be mind blowing but do you hear that? It's the Justice League! Oh wait.
He may be under 6ft but he's still huge and he's bigger than he was in Bronson and he may even be bigger as Bane than he was in Warrior. Without a doubt he's bigger than Christian Bale so I don't think there should really be any doubts whether he's big enough to break the Bat.
If Bane breaks him early on, and he recovers and returns to dish out some Bat-style justice upon him then that's fine. But I'm getting rather worried from the scenes which seem to show Bruce as very weak. Where as in the other films he was quiet, contemplative and still able to have a strong presence, thus far I cannot see this here.
I wan it to end with him broken, not start that way.If Bane breaks him early on, and he recovers and returns to dish out some Bat-style justice upon him then that's fine. I thought that Nolan had said it had been eight years since TDK but I may be wrong. The movie looks pretty great but man, do they need to do something with Bane's voice so we can understand him.
I've heard some very 'meh' reactions to the trailer, but personally I loved it - and this is from a person who liked the Burton/Schumacher films (don't judge me too harshly - it's a widely-known fact my taste in movies is bad....). and I may be alone in this, but I'd like to see Catwoman in a slightly more villainous role - it's obvious they're probably going to make her good in the end, but it's easy to forget that Selina occasionally commits crimes a little worse than stealing a diamond or two.
also, I'm still not in on the whole 'Marvel vs. DC' riot - First Class, for all its' staggering continuity flaws, is probably one of my favorite comic book movies, and I'm personally looking forward to both this and Avengers - although I'm personally hoping Bane blows Loki out of the water in the box office :P
@Danial79: Ya Im kinda the same my friends on facebook are all freaking out about the trailer and Im just like.. meh... I personally think Spiderman is going to be the best of the comic book movies next summer, like Batman will more then likely be very very good, I think Avengers should be highly entertaining and I think its in with a very good chance of being a bigger box office than batman.. then again Spiderman could end up destroying them all, like the first 3 were all hugely sucessful, financially anyway..

@Pokeysteve: BB and Dk are smallville level to you? I bet you think First Class is accurate
Not level. Obviously the movies are amazing stories, especially TDK. I just thought the character of Batman was terribly portrayed. Also I hate the X-Men so it was easy to love First Class and even Wolverine haha.
Gotta say the trailer was nothing special. The Dark Knight trailer was something else, but this trailer was just meh. Football scene seemed very out of place in the Nolan-verse. With that said, this is the most anticipated comic movie that I can remember, and it will blow Avengers right out of the water I'm sure, not to mention Amazing Spider-Man, and I'm sure Nolan won't disappoint. However, bigger expectations lead to bigger disappointments...
@PikminMania: Yes I have but I think that what you see is what you get.
@The Lobster: That pic just shows that he works out a lot. But if this version of Bane took venom he would look like this:
@MrErbac: I agree some wrestler from WWE should play Bane
I think this will tie in heavily to Batman Begins. I'm betting that Talia al Ghul has taken over leadership of the League of Shadows and she plans to carry out her fathers plan of destroying Gotham. I'll bet that Bane is the person she has chosen to lead the attack, the very same position that Bruce rejected back in the first movie.
Thats my guess anyway.
That's a pink Hulk in a Luchador mask, that's not what Bane should look like. Tom Hardy is a great actor where as some guy from WWE cant even act like wrestlers let alone in a block buster movie.@PikminMania: Yes I have but I think that what you see is what you get.

Anybody who thinks Hardy cant pull off Bane needs to peep him out in Bronson.
My personal hope is that Lady Shiva will have some sort of cameo or even brief mention. For if Bane is the one who broke the Bat, Shiva's the one who repaired him.

@MrErbac: Really? You think hight makes you tough. If you know anything about fighting, which you surely do not, then to those that do this comment is just stupid. Plus, a camera man can make someone look a little taller or shorter if they want to. Just a ridiculous comment.
When did I say height or hight as you spelled it makes you tough? Sitting behind a keyboard and talking tough surely means you know about fighting according to you. If you knew me, which you don't, you wouldn't say that, so you have no basis for that. And second of all, Nathan Jones is a tough guy and not only has the look to play Bane, but can relate to him, he spent some years in prison, not just playing one in a movie, and I'm sure he got in plenty of fights. He also did MMA. I'm guessing not everyone here saw The Condemned, but if you saw the part where he's fighting in prison, he reminded me of Bane.
He has the acting ability of my Grandma, which I can assure you, is not good.@goldenkey said:

@fitchy101: there's been pictures of Liam Neeson on set by what we can only assume is the Lazarus Pits, also someone has been cast as a young Ra's.

@Pokeysteve: Kinda off topic. Why aren't they Batman movies? What is it Missing?
The biggest part for me was the absence of detective work. Yeah he had a few gadgets here and there but you never get to really see him use his mind. I grew up watching the animated series and even though it was a cartoon for kids, they did an amazing job showing you just how brilliant a think Bruce is. The movies lacked that. Because Nolan made them "realistic" it also stripped away the greatness of most of the villains. The fight scenes are all pretty disappointing too. Just my opinions obviously.
i don't think catwoman is with them. i think gotham has been alright and since it has flourished, most notably the wealthy such as bruce i'd imagine, kyle is forewarning him of her imminent role as a thief out to rob them. that's just my guess.
i didn't notice batman ever using any canes in any scenes and just imagined the one scene with the cane was alfred. however, if somehow the eight years is because batman was incarcerated and that's when his back was broken then that's crazy cool. i'm not a fan of this push for batman to die in this.
I'v seen it, think twice about what?@spiderbat87: watch Bronson maybe you'll think twice.

You can cast him when you're making a movie, and I assure it'll be as good as See No Evil,Marine etc.

THIS IS FAN ART,he was never that big in the comics, excluding Rob Liefield Wannabe(Broome) and remember the last time a wrestler played him? this is a movie.
It's pretty clear that fanboys live in their personal dream world and they are more pissed at Nolan's take being drastically different from their fantasies or how they personally percieve the character.
NEWSFLASH:
It does'nt matter what you percieve.
Hardy is perfect.
