Alfred Pennyworth is Bruce Wayne's loyal father figure and butler. Alfred raised Bruce (and later Dick Grayson) after the death of the Waynes. A former British secret agent, Alfred is a skilled surgeon who often treats members of the Bat-Family.
The daughter of two notorious assassins, David Cain and Lady Shiva, Cassandra left her father as a child after she killed a man and saw his pain and fear while he died. After saving Commissioner Gordon's life, she became the new Batgirl with Batman and Oracle's blessing, and was later adopted by Bruce Wayne. She would later give the role of Batgirl to her friend Stephanie Brown, and became Black Bat. In the New 52 and Rebirth, she takes the alias of Orphan.
At the age of nine, Timothy Drake cleverly deduced the identities of Batman and Robin. Four years later, after the death of Jason Todd, Tim convinced Batman that he should be the new Robin. He would later become leader of Young Justice.
Stephanie Brown is the Cluemaster's daughter. She becomes the Spoiler to "spoil" her father's criminal plots, and dated Tim Drake while he was Robin. Steph temporarily becomes Robin when Tim is forced to quit by his father. Later, she briefly resumes being Spoiler before Cassandra Cain decides to pass her the mantle of Batgirl. In the New 52 and Rebirth, she's back to being The Spoiler.
The wooden dummy known as Scarface "rules" over much of Gotham City's underworld in conjunction with his "underling", the Ventriloquist. Though most have accepted Scarface to merely be a conduit for the Ventriloquist's alternate personality, many signs have hinted that the dummy is in fact alive.
One of the most bizarre criminals in Gotham City, the Ventriloquist (real name Arnold Wesker) is a crime lord who directs all orders (and executions) through a wooden dummy named Scarface. A female crime lord, named Peyton Riley, has also assumed the alias after Wesker's death.
As the first Robin, Dick Grayson was the most famous sidekick in comic book history. As he ventured forth on his own, he formed the Teen Titans and became their leader. When the boy became a man, he became the independent hero known as Nightwing.
Barbara Gordon was the first modern age Batgirl until she was brutally shot by the Joker, rendering her paralyzed from the waist down. Barbara reinvented herself as Oracle, providing intelligence to the DCU heroes and leading the Birds of Prey. She has recently become Batgirl once again to protect Gotham City.
Catalina was a former FBI agent. She became a super hero inspired by her hero, the first Tarantula, to battle police corruption and gangs in Blüdhaven. She has a loose moral code and is willing to do anything to get what she wants.
This mob hitman has trained extensively in various martial arts. His goggles allow him to record and analyze all he sees, and his speed and reflexes are enhanced by cybernetics.
A crime boss in Gotham City who runs the Odessa mob. She lost an eye at some point but is easily recognizable by the distinctive blue gem in her eye socket.
Catwoman is a fictional character originating from DC Comics. Under the costumed alias of Catwoman, Selina Kyle, is a cat burglar with an on-again, off-again, romantic relationship with Batman. She is shown as a woman who is very strong-willed, independent and morally dubious.
Bruce Wayne, who witnessed the murder of his billionaire parents as a child, swore to avenge their deaths. He trained extensively to achieve mental and physical perfection, mastering martial arts, detective skills, and criminal psychology. Costumed as a bat to prey on the fears of criminals, and utilizing a high-tech arsenal, he became the legendary Batman.
Highly trained in the martial arts, Onyx first aligned herself with the League of Assassins before reforming and becoming a vigilante. She resides in Gotham City and is considered an ally of the Batman. In The New 52, she is a member of the Outsiders and the leader of the Fist Clan.
A ruthless Gotham mob boss and leader of the False Face Society known for his extreme hatred for Bruce Wayne and sadistic talent for torturing his victims.

Thomas Elliot is a renowned surgeon and childhood friend of Bruce Wayne. A meticulous planner, Elliot resents the fact that Bruce's father thwarted his plot to murder his parents. Aware of Bruce Wayne's secret identity, and assuming the identity of criminal mastermind Hush, he sets out to destroy Batman.
Holly Robinson's girlfriend. Karon worked at a deli in Gotham City's East End. She was a frequent babysitter for Selina's daughter, Helena. Karon and Holly also acted as den mothers to the kids in the Alleytown Gang.
Intelligent, rich and sophisticated; Oswald Cobblepot puts up a gentlemanly front, but behind closed doors he is the angered, power hungry criminal known as The Penguin. He shows flashes of compassion sometimes, but he is dominated by a desire to be respected and to control those around him.

Garfield Lynns was a special effects expert who was eventually driven insane and became obsessed with flames. Lynss adopted the name of Firefly and became a crazed arsonist. Firefly's main foe is Batman but has been known to clash with Batgirl on several occasions.
Carnivora was part of an extraterrestrial invasion fleet who's spacecraft was destroyed by an Asteroid field. Being the sole survivor she landed on Earth,an angered Carnivora battled Power-Girl.

Researching for a book on “mystery-men” in the 1940s, Jonathan Law ended up donning his own costume to become the Tarantula. Law became a member of the wartime All-Star Squadron and did his part in keeping the shores of the U.S. safe for democracy.
