    "Man of Bats"

The Return of Bruce Wayne begins here with an extra-sized issue, showcasing Batman himself, Bruce Wayne.  Will he remember who he is or will the time travel result in something different and new for the Caped Crusader?

    What You Need To Know.

Batman was hit with Darkseid's Omega Sanction towards the end of 2008's Final Crisis.  He was presumed dead by the rest of the super-hero community, however it was shown the Bruce was sent back to the beginning of man.  Several heroes are now aware that Bruce is lost in time.

    The Good

Finally, after almost a year and a half of waiting, Grant Morrison returns to Write Bruce Wayne/Batman.
The Cover is pretty amazing and actually depicts a relevance to the actual comic.
Bruce Wayne.  His survival instincts kick in, even though he may not remember everything that has happened.
The "Bat-Suit" actually kind of made logical sense, even if it seemed like a product placement.
The art picked up well in the middle of the book.
The Special guests towards the end of the book.

    The Bad

There's really no explanation on how he got there, how some familiar faces show up and how they know to go there, or how he gets to his next destination.

    Verdict

Well Grant Morrison opens up this 6-part saga adding more questions than answers.  This isn't a bad thing, the issue was enjoyable, but at points confusing.  Obviously if you're any type of Batman fan this is the moment you've been waiting for, the Return of Bruce Wayne, although this might not be the issue that you dreamed of.  There's some guest-appearances, one of which makes a statement that could mean bad things for our hero at some point.  Grant Morrison writes a good issue, even if it took the art a while to pick up.  I'm sure the excitement over this event might have raised the ratings a little bit.

Grant Morrison is acclaimed because he is one of the few writers who really push the medium to its potential. Part of the reason he can do this is because of his knowledge in the Occult.   There will always be three types of readers that walk away from a Grant Morrison story: (1) Those that had no idea what happened and did not like it, (2) Those that had no idea or little idea what really happened but enjoyed the story and (3) those who understand the messages between the lines.   With...

The Return of Bruce Wayne has finally begun! Despite the flaws of the issue, i was relatively pleased. So you may be thinking flaws? forget this!  But wait hear me out first...Ok after Bruce has been transported back to the past after Final Crisis, we find him in the stone age of all places. To tell the truth i was against the return of Bruce so early on in the game, i really wanted to see Dick grow into the role of Batman, however when i saw the images for the return of Bruce Wayne i just could...
