Batman: The Long Halloween
is a comic volume from DC Comics that started in 1996The Long Halloween is a story set shortly after the events in Batman: Year One. It tells the tale of Batman, Jim Gordon, and Harvey Dent attempting to take down the biggest mob boss in Gotham city while simultaneously catching the serial killer Holiday who kills an organized crime related victim once a month on a holiday.
The story focuses heavily on the relationship between Batman, Gordon, and Dent. Since the story includes the origin of Two-Face it also includes how Dent's transformation affects the lives of those closest to him.
