The world famous 4 issue mini series by Frank Miller in the late 80's which helped change the general public's perception of Batman being the dark hero he was originally conceived to be. 
 
The indicia of the original issues of this series list the title as Batman: The Dark Knight, with each of the four individual issue's names being a different variation of that.
