Bruce Wayne reminisces about his life and his adventures as Batman. All the while we are shown how Batman to be the subject of an Isolation expirement. As a stand alone book, I guess this makes a good jump on issue. Since you basically get the cliff note version of Batmans entire history. On the other hand, I would also say this is one of the few books that are essential to the whole R.I.P. storyline. It is not any kind of great book. It just coasts down average street, but it does have one really cool ending.

this is issue is basically a trip though batmans long journey as the dark knight. I think that lee garbett is quite a good artist but i would till have liked to see tony daniels art. As it shows you this is a tie in to FINAL CRISIS, which kind of hints that his end that morrion described is going to be in the final crisis series. so there wasn't really muc point in the helicopter crah in the last issue really was there?

This issue is so bad that I'll pack it in my zombie survival kit to use as toilet paper. Seriously. It's that bad. Save your money and pick up the new volume of The Umbrella Academy instead. I'm not even going to bother making a vlog of this disgraceful Batman issue. It gets one star merely for the lettering. When the lettering is the best part of comic, something is majorly wrong. The Joker's dialog is brilliantly shown in all lower case letters with purple ink and that's the only good thing to see here. I can't wait until the writers change!
