Robert?
My son and I are just getting our feet wet with this title. It's only the second one we've read so far. It's a good title, with art and story lines that the younger crowd can enjoy... and I guess us "old guys" can enjoy as well.
Batman finds himself investigating a strange meteor that has landed on earth. It seems to have spawned some creatures (plant type creatures) that are attacking the citizens of Gotham. So, when Batman needs help with space aliens, who does he call... Green Lantern.
I must admit, I'm not a big Green Lantern fan and So far, neither is my son. He wasn't really impressed with this character. I hope I haven't influenced his opinion this early on. I'm digressing again... anyway, engage the little meteor himself... the one the only, the scary and terrifying.... Robert! Robert? Really? lol. We did get a kick out of that. Probably the old man more than the son. He's got the little guy chip on his shoulder I think. We thought it was pretty funny when Batman just grabbed him and hauled him off to a Black Hole. That was funny... Little guy kicking and screaming.
The part that was the funniest... the "itch". When you read it, you'll know what we are talking about. Had my son laughing out loud.
It's a good issue with a good mix of humor and action. He rated it 4.5/5.
