Probably one of the best Poison Ivy stories ever
This is one of the best Poison Ivy stories ever and probably the best Lil Gotham issue. Nguyens watercolours are superb and the story is a very accurate psychograph of Poison Ivy. In the first few pages the reader sees what Ivy sees. A beautifull world. Colours, smells, feelings. You see the world from her point of view. A fragile nature that needs to be protected. A work of art. Ivy's emotions change with the seasons. And Autumn of course is when she gets gloomy.
Ad when she gets gloomy, she needs the help of her lil friends to cheer her up.
I don't want to spoil the story. All i can say is that some of the panels could be works of art. This is a fairytale both for kids and grown ups.
In the end Ivy is not a woman filled with hate. She's a woman filled with love. Love that turns into passion. A passion to protect the unparalleled beauty of Nature.
