Best Bat-Mite Story
This is the second story I've read with Bat-mite in it. At first i thought he was ridiculously weird and a little bit silly but this comic changed my whole perspective of him.
The story follows the events that a drug enduced man encountered after taking amphetamines. The dealers have been mysteriously murdered, so Batman interrogates the man to find out if what he really saw was a hallucination or the events of a true story. The only problem is that the victims also happen to be the only other witnesses who saw the Bat-Mite.
There is some lovely artwork. One that struck me was on page 10 when the Bat-mite transforms from his tiny little floating self into a rather terrifying rendition of a demonic Batman. I especially love page 13 where the Bat-mite is still depicted floating even in his demonic state with the bat cape wrapped tightly around him and on the next panel where he wears an almost Joker-like grin while staring down the barrel of a gun. In this panel the spikes on his back are reminiscent of an angry cat and I really like how his ears are actually more batlike than usual but still maintaining the shape of the classical Batman ears.
This was the best comic I have read in a while and definately the best one including the Bat-mite
