    Batman Inc. begins.

Batman begins his war against crime around the world starting with Japan.

    Pros:
For those thinking that Grant Morrison is going to lead readers into a mindf**k with his writing in the first issue, relax. This is really easy to jump into with little backtracking (Reading Batman: The Return will do it for you) . Mr. Unknown, a hero in Japan is horribly killed by a villain called Lord Death Man who somehow discovered his base. There's not much to say about a guy who calls himself Lord Death Man. Elsewhere, Selina and Bruce have some "fun" stealing an item from Dr. Sivana. After a little R&R, the two head for Japan to for Batman to really kick off Batman Inc. there, but ends up joining the mayhem of Lord Death Man.  I like the ending of suspense with Morrison writing.

I'm surprised to see a lot of humor in this issue. I welcome it, cause it easier to sink into this issue more. The Japanese culture of anime and manga was a great  reference especially the part with Selina looking at what possibly might be a classic tentacle porn (which is ironic at the end of this issue). Personally, I'm all for Selina and Bruce. Their chemistry has always been fantastic together, and I love the humor and flirting that takes place with these two. Who says work can't be fun?

I enjoyed Yanick Paquette artwork with this issue. Selina just look drop dead gorgeous both in her costume and out. The new Batman costume looks great as well (minus the weird crotch plating). Visually wise, I love the colors.

    Cons:

In a way, this starts off a little bit slow. I'm a bit curious on what the true reason Bruce stole that item from Dr. Sivana. I'm sure it will pick up along the way.

Overall: I will say this shows promise. Change is hard to accept, but I think this will pay off.

Batman, Inc. Open for Business 0

Grant Morrison, grand poobah of all things Dark Knight, brought us the newest chapter of the saga of Bruce Wayne this week. Batman, Inc. is the latest ongoing series, and probably the most talked about this year. Bruce Wayne revealed to the world last week that he is the Batman's "mysterious benefactor," and as such he believes the mission driving the world's finest detective should be taken global. Now Bruce travels the globe, training foreign crime-fighters up to be their countries' "Batman". ...
