Batman has to face a demon of sorts; one that has lived for three hundred years. He is not Ra's Al Ghul, but he has lived this long, even through the black plague because he has sold his soul to the devil. He is known as Mr. Whisper, or the man without a shadow.

Bruce dreams of his childhood and a teacher who has beaten him, how does this connect to the new shadowless killer?

And I am the King of Hell! 0

Batman Gothic scared the hell out of me when I was 11 (I didn't read it when it came out). Batman Gothic still scares the hell out of me. Grant Morrison claims to be reading a lot of gothic literature at the time of writing this story so he wanted to bring Batman back to his gothic origins. He also must have been reading a book about how to make me s**t my pants. Morrison does a great job at showing how damaged Bruce Wayne is, a technique he uses to great effect in Batman R.I.P. almost 18 years ...
