Another fascinating issue about Gotham City 0

Synopsis: More of Gotham City's history is revealed. What's Good? I can say that without the history background of Gotham City in the beginning of this issue, this story would be just as great. However, thanks to it, we get a sense that Gotham City was supposed to be the ideal place due to its promise of a, "City of the Clouds".  As I wrote in the previous issue, There are so many secrets rarely touched on about Gotham City that makes this mini-series so great to rediscover them. Seeing Gotham ...

    History and targets unfold! 0

Batman: Gates of Gotham #2 of 5. Hello everyone welcome to another exciting edition of my reviews! Sorry I didn't get to review any comics earlier today but let's just say it was a different mailman(woman) that didn't complete her job! But enough about that how about I tell ya some of the key facts to this issue shall we? We start the issue off with some further insight to a key foundation of Gotham which is the New Trigate. We get to see some of the inhibitions of two young kids of past Gotham ...

    Near Expert Storytelling! 1

Batman: Gates of Gotham #2 picks up where the excellent first issue left off, delivering an immersive and near perfectly structured comic. And while I'm still struggling to fully embrace the art style, the story is so engrossing that it's impossible to not be excited about what's ahead.  Scott Snyder and Kyle Higgins continue to layout an incredible tale that not only gives us an informative Gotham City history lesson but brings that history into a present day Batman mystery. We get flashbacks ...

What a Batman comic should be. 0

These issues only make me more confident over Scott Synder's upcoming gig on Batman.  The premise of this miniseries is ambitious, to provide a mystery surrounding Gotham's past, so the backstory needs to be engaging and relevant.  It would be easy to be weighed down by these points of Gotham's history, but Snyder and Higgins brilliantly provide a voice for voice for Gotham and present the descendents of our familiar characters without making them written like they're just time displaced or Else...

    City of Dreams 3

The batfamily must scramble to stop the mysterious individual(s?) behind the bombings in Gotham.   The Good McCarthy's creating some excellent covers for this series.   McCarthy's pencils and Major's colors mesh beautifully together to deliver a lush, animated feel to this story. The look of this book really is something fresh, unique, and yet it's oddly familiar and nostalgic. Anybody who was a fan of Batman TAS or Batman Beyond will instantly fall in love with the art on this book. The faded, ...

    Its getting more interesting!!! 0

The first of part was great and now it getting interesting. We see more history on how the bridges get build and who designed them. However, things are doing so well in the present as Dick, Tim, Damian and Cassandra try to figure who is blowing up the bridges, but also someone new is in this issue and is talking to Hush. This story is getting more interesting and i can't wait ti read more. Overall I'm giving it 5/5 because it shows more history, some action and a surprise in the end of the story...
