    I seriously hope this doesn't become a necessary read to enjoy the main Batman series following Zero Year. I would love to pick this series up, but with it being both a weekly title and $2.99 per week...I just can't afford to keep up with that for 60 issues. v__v

    It's 52 issues, unless it is going on for more than a year now, which would be odd.

    I remember Snyder saying with 60 issues and would be a year long event (I assume to celebrate the whole year due to this year being Batman's 75th anniversary).

    I don't know why but suddenly I got more intrigued by the foundation of Batman Eternal than Zero year.

    I don't know about you guys, but I'm gonna guess it's an excuse for the Joker to also return.

    @comicbookfan93:

    It could be Ra's but he always calls Batman "detective", not Bruce. And I don't know if he would want to burn down part of Gotham. Other than in the movies, Ra's has never tried to destroy Gotham.

    I hope to god that it's not Joker that in the book ends.

    I highly doubt it's Joker, given the dialogue, it doesn't sound like him.

    Like someone else said, usually when Ra's is speaking to Bats, he calls him Detective and not Bruce. I would agree with someones suggestion of Hush or Lincoln March. They make the most sense, and I do believe I remember Snyder mentioning he had plans for Hush right before we got into Zero Year.

    @fallbrigade:

    I said both things you're referring to. Thanks for agreeing. The more I think about it, the more I think that the villain is either Lincoln March or a new character. I think that they'll bring Hush into the New 52 with a long arc in the main Batman comic. Another thought I had, it could be Dr. Hurt, he's actually the 1st villain I thought of, but if it's him than Snyder would have to basically steal Grant Morrison's story to do it and I don't think that Snyder would do that.

    This is a great start for the book and I am pretty surprised so far that this is this awesome.I expected it to be good but not this much.I am really excited for who the villain may be and I think it is Hush but we will see.
