This first issue of this year long weekly Batman epic kicks things off, with serious consequences up ahead. 1

Here we are, the highly anticipated weekly Batman series starts here with issue #1, some of you out there might be thinking "Oh look, ANOTHER Batman title, and a weekly one at that, as if we don't have enough Batman in our lives" and I'm here to inform you my friends, this is NOT just another Batman title, this is something much bigger. This is now essentially the "Main" Batman title depicting the events in the post-Forever Evil world (Uh, that event's still going?) and is a must buy for Bat-Fans...

Solid start, but still not impressed 0

The idea of having a weekly Batman series is ambitious, and the least I can say is that I have some doubts. Just putting a lot of talented people together rarely turns out as great as you’d expect. So what do you get here? The art is fine, but I’m not excited about it. It may be too clean, there’s nothing wrong with it, but nothing here seems memorable. As for the story, well, it’s fairly conventional. Batman/Gordon, good old. Having Pyg is a nice refreshing touch, but th...

    What is this Madness?! 0

Celebrating Batman's 75 years of service DC released a new weekly bat title which will last a year featuring the man himself along with his cast of partners and villains.Leaving out as many spoilers as I possibly can.The Good: Art work is great. Jason Fabok went all out on this issue. The storyline. Snyder and Tynion began to unravel a great story. Character development is a very essential part of this story which is filled with surprises. The Bad: it's a weekly series so your wallet will pretty...

    Batman Eternal #1 (2014) Review 0

The Good: I'm a big Jason Bard fan, and if you are too, you'll dig where this issue goes. He's long overdue for the New 52, and we get a very GCPD focused story in this first issue, and it's very welcome. Gordon doesn't get enough panel-time in my opinion, and it's clear from the get-go, that's not going to be the case in Batman Eternal. I'm pumped for this series. The Bad: A lot of the "twists" were already spoiled. And for some folks that aren't familiar with some of the on-goings that Batman h...

    Very Knightfall... 0

Love this story! I'm honestly curious about it and has some great storytelling elements. The artwork is fantastic and when I see the c covers I definitely feel the fact that we're in 2014. As a huge Batw fan, I love to see the Nolan influence in the new books. Bats couldn't be done better and I've been here since Jason. Despite everything the "hardcore" fans have to say, I don't think this series has anywhere to go but back if you know what I mean. Using Pyg as the opening villain was awesome, w...

A little underwhelming, but it has promise. 2

The new year long weekly series starts here! Written by Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, John Layman, and Tim Seeley with artwork by Jason Fabok. The GoodThe page that gets you excited and anticipating a perfect first issue.... In this issue, we see a future where Gotham is in flames and Batman is beaten and broken. However, before that conclusion happens, we journey back to the present. Where it's just an ordinary night for Batman and Jim Gordon. The writers did a good job at setting the stage for...

    Batman Eternal #1 Review 0

DC's new weekly Batman comic is off to an explosive start.Normally, I'm a trade reader. I read a handful of books in individual issues, but that's mostly because I know that superhero books, especially DC's superhero books, live and die by the single issue sales more so than the collections. So, when a book like Animal Man with a creative team I love comes out, I want to support it on a monthly basis because it just doesn't have the audience that, say, a Batman book would have. That said, new Ba...
