    funny thing:I never saw the nolan movies till a few days ago
    the thing that bothers me about begins is that they make batman more about stealth,fighting,and fear [aka scarring the crap out of thugs]
    I didn't get the feeling he was a genius detective:well not as much as I wanted
    he dosen't even build his own stuff [batarangs he did build so I kinda forgive that]
    that and I don't know who ra's al guel [sp?] was,so it wasn't as interesting
    scarecrow was pretty epic though

    Liam Neeson's character, supposedly, was Ra's Al Ghul; he used illusions or whatever, it was never fully explained.  I may be wrong.  Also, one problem I had with Batman Begins, is the notion of Wayne being a bad ass in jail.  I didn't get that impression he was all that tough, it was a bit flimsy.  However, it was still a good movie and made up for the previous Batman garbage films.

    I think they touched upon enough of the detective angle, although I understand what you're saying.

    @Decept-O: Yeah just nitpicking..overall it was a good film
    and that guy never used illusions,he made scarecrow do that
    and he used the microwave machine to evaporate the poisoned water to make all of Gotham crazy so everyone would destroy the city and it could be reborn or something by him ["this is starting to sound like a bad comic book plot!"]

    i was ok with him not creating all of his weapons, he has ideas for them and then finds material or things already out there to make his dreams a reality. I loved both movies and will be sad when Nolan no longer is leading the way (after the 3rd is done)

    @DEGRAAF: kinda a peeve that the "batmobile" was just a leftover tank

    I liked the fact that he basically uses above military grade weapons that the military didnt think was cost affective.

    @DEGRAAF: agreed
    I also wondered why he made the batarangs that shape,they're closer to shurikins [throwing stars]
    cause I'm pretty sure they were originally just boomerangs
    [btw the debut of the batarangs..that issue of DC was god-afull,so far my "wost batman story ever written" even if the weapon was cool,the story was worse than hell itself]

    @DEGRAAF:
    yeah well he used it to kill a evil monk who worships "a satan" [no it says a satan for some reason] and becomes a werewolf vampire [yes both] and bruce just escapes a trap,melts some silver and shoots the guy in his sleep,because according to the comic silver kills vampires
