What can I say? Batman Annual 27 was amazing and was joy to read, as we know this comic continues on to Detective comics annual 11, which opens up the new Azrael comic series which I have been waiting for so long! I have never read any of Fabian Nicieza  work, but I was impressed I loved the plot structure as we know Richard still trying to teach Damien some manners. The story wasn't complicated which was great becaue I HATE complicated story lines. I don't want to spoil the story (which was amazing) so you will just have to read it for yourself. The art work wasn't the best but wasn't bad either, I was expecting a great detail in the artwork for this comic but I was proven wrong. The end leads to an amazing climax that made me want to keep reading and reading. So i guess I'll have to pick up Detective comics Annual 11!

I only hope that Michael Washington Lane can live up to Jean Paul Valley's legacy and not destroy the role on Azrael. The original Azrael comic series was a blessing to read, Denny O'Neil stayed to the very end and showed readers Jean Paul's  journey, and how he developed his role as Azrael. The main story line was fulfilling and very encouraging Jean just carried on through the hard time and believed that anything was possible to achieve even though he found out the horrible truth of the order of St Dumas. In fact I didn't exactly like Bruce Wayne behavior towards Jean he treated him as SHIT so I only wonder how the behavior and attitude will be between Michael and Richard.

This comic is a MUST  read even if your not particularly an Azrael fan, there's many short comic stories at the end and an exclusive diagram of the new bat mobile, pent house and bat bunker developed by Wayne Tech. Azrael fans should definitely read this comic because it's going to be interesting to see Michael's journey as Azrael and how he works with the new batman.  I hope Denny O'Neil writes many of the new Azrael issues because he has a lot to contribute in the Azrael saga.

i was impressed with this issue. I thought the art was good and the storyline was clever. The art on Azrael was fantastic and i think this will end up being very good in the Dectective annual. It will be good to see what happens to robin who is disguised as a kid and later kidnapped with another few children - overall - a 4 out of 5.
