    Batman & Robin #9 4

Batman & Robin #9Batman has enough on his plate so it’s up to Damian to save a target on the Court’s hit list. The Good:I know Scott Snyder is on top as far as Batman titles go, but Batman & Robin is strikingly good. Damian is told to go and save Gotham’s biggest military leader, and he gets right to it without argument. It is nice to see his instantaneous obedience when hearing the urgency in Alfred’s voice. So because Damian is on his own in this issue, we get to see him face-off agains...

Can We Get a Robin Solo Series? 0

This cover, while awesome, created some specific expectations of this issue that weren't met. Normally, a good cover can't be taken at complete face value, but it was a bit of a downer to not see the implied sword fight. (X)Patrick Gleason doesn't provide the art for this issue, but Lee Garbett is certainly a very welcome guest artist. He captures a lot of the same style as Gleason, but has his own spark that I think would be really good for a Robin solo series. (Written by Bryan Q. Miller perha...

    Robin Goes Solo! 0

Batman and Robin #9 was probably the "Night of the Owls" most disconnected tie-in, but it was a good story nonetheless. That whole thing with the Talon hunting Robin and the army guys had this "Ripley and her crew against the Aliens" feel to it.Please check my mini-review here:http://bit.ly/IXMm5nComments and feedback are always welcome!...

I don't know much about Damian Wayne's Robin--and so far don't like much of what I've learned about him--but something about this shot really makes me really root for him. I'm not sure if it's the double under-hand grip on the swords, the fact that a boy of single-digit age is dauntlessly facing a trained adult assassin in sword combat, or the colors, composition and line work, but the effect ...

Talon is a Great Great GreatFather 0

This is basically a tie-in of the Night of the Owls crossover focusing on Damian Wayne - This event, involving the Batman family, is an attack of an ancient group that rules in Gotham City, consisting on an act of assassination of Gotham's prestigious and most important citiziens - As Batman is dealing with the Talons (The owls' assassins) in his manor, Alfred discovers a hit list and assign each character of the Batman family to prevent the killing (as seen in Batman # 8) - This issue is Damian...
