For those interested in a Bizarro Zombie Batman 0

So the Batman resurrection thing didn't quite work out like Dick hoped and we have a problem.  Batwoman is near death and this not Batman is on his way to his not home to see his not son.  And not for for family time.  While Batman, Knight and Squire tend to Batwoman, Alfred tries his best to protect Damian form this demented not Batman. It turns out Damian is as proficient in wheelchair combat as his father was after getting his back broken.  Their assault on not Batman is exciting and I always...

BATMAN AND ROBIN #9 0

"Blackest Knight" conclusion. Written by Grant Morrison and drawn by Cameron Stewart. In the beginning of this issue we see Batwoman lying dead at Batman's feet. Thats where a Lazerus pit comes in, and she gets resurrected. After that scence we see the zombie Batman trying to kill Damian and Alfred. The zombie Batman is one crazy dude, and he can barely talk. Zombie Batman kicks Damians ass and then throws him off Wayne Tower. Poor Damian hasn't had much luck lately with getting paralized and no...

Batman and Robin #9 0

So issue 9 starts off where Issue 8 left off.  Batwoman is dead and we learn that she died because she told Dick to give her excess morphine, knowing that the Lazarus Pit is behind the rubble.  I feel this was just a plot device, I don't think Dick would use the pit again, and I feel like her death was used just for shock value.  Back in Gotham we learn that the clone Batman can speak, although obviously not normally.  It's interesting to hear Damian openly mock Dick again, although not to his f...

"I can smell it, old chum, ruh-rotting bitween mi eers." 0

Just as fast as this arc started, Darkest Knight is over. This arc served its intended purpose: Show the characters in the Bat-world that Bruce Wayne is alive somewhen. Morrison answers questions, leaves others to pop up, and gets us to our beat. In that sense, we have a successsful issue/arc. I really felt like the unlikely Dynamic Duo of Damian and Alfred shined in this issue as well. Even something as ridiculous as Revived Clone Batman was given a personality. I'm glad the door is left o...

THE BLACKEST KNIGHT HAS COME TO GOTHAM 0

I thought that this issue was perfect. many other reviews have criticized cameron stewarts art on this series as not fitting the atmosphere but personally i love his work on the series. Morrison showed us last tie that the batman that was found in the bunker was a clone batman. I love the issue as it shows a defencless damian and alfred fighting for their lives from the clone. One of my favourite scenes is when he get a glimpse of the clone batmans warped memeories and when he spoke it kind of r...

Batman & Robin #9: Broken 0

"So How Did It Happen?" - Knight. Blackest Knight ends in this issue. A three part series that started in issue 7 and ends now! Writer Grant Morrison (Final Crisis, Batman R.I.P.) works with Artist Cameron Stewart (The Invisibles) on a story about a clone Batman returning from the grave all thanks to Dick Grayson. While most of the Bat-family is angry at his decision, they know that Dick will have to do the right thing to destroy this monstrosity! With Damian still recovering from being shot dir...
