Batman and Robin #12.  All is revealed in this incredibly amazing issue.  Batman struggles in his attempts to find Bruce Wayne and combat his partner, which is not the only confrontation that takes place in this issue.  A major shake-up happens and the identity of many players in the series to date are revealed.   What You Need To Know. Bruce Wayne is lost in time, in his absence Dick Grayson has taken up his mantle, while tutoring Damian Wayne as Robin.  Recently Damian suffered a spinal injury...

    Bravo, Grant Morrison. 0

The end of the first year of "Batman and Robin" is here. This is where Bruce's return gets started, the identity of Oberon Sexton is revealed, and a lot storylines come to a head.THE GOOD:- Andy Clarke turns in another good issue. His faces were great, his proportions are great, his layout was clear, and I thought his art really stood up to Morrison's script.- What did I say Morrison does? He'll slam down on the gas pedal and fill you in as he goes? He does that here. It's part of his charm.- Gr...

Look it's a Semi driving through a Plot hole! 5

Ok, I could care less who Oberon Sexton is, really I could. All of that was overshadowed to me by the   HUGE  GAPING   PLOT HOLE!       Ok, I'm just wondering if anyone else sees Grant's huge and Gaping plot hole in this story. All of this about how the Underground tunnels of Wayne Manor resemble a Bat Symbol, when Combined with the Above ground Wayne Manor. Would this be the same Wayne Manor and Batcave that were Completely and totally destroyed in Batman: Cataclysm? If I recall correct...

    HOLY TWIST ENDING BATMAN! 0

I'm not a huge DC comic fan but Blackest Night and Batman "dying" got me interested. I'm not to up to date with what the Black Glove is and other recent goings on with Batman, but this series has been an easy pick up and its very enthralling. I love how I don't have to be a Batman expert to know what they're talking about all the time (the stuff about the earth quake when Dick was checking out the catacombs of the mansion I got but still no expert). I really like the building intensity and thema...

Wow. Just Wow. Why haven't you bought this yet? 0

I started reading Batman and Robin very late in the series, just one issue prior to this one. The twists and turns of this issue are enough to keep even a casual Batman fan with his jaw dropped. I had a hunch that Grant Morrison + Batman would have a huge payoff, and I was very correct in that assumption. This is one of those great comics that hits home on so many levels. New reader? Start at least one issue sooner the way I did, then grab this. Those wiser than me who have been reading this all...

    Batman & Robin #12 - The jakob187 Review 0

Despite the fact that we're in the midst of Bruce Wayne's return, Dick Grayson remains the titular Batman and Grant Morrison delivers one hell of a great issue.  You can tell that he's enjoying this story and working to make it one of the year's stellar feats in the DC Universe.  When we last left off, Dick was traveling through tunnels to find himself at the brunt end of a beatdowm from Damian, who is being mind-controlled by Slade Wilson via implants that Talia made in Damian.  Picking up righ...

You think you know a guy and then he turns out to be a psychopath 1

So in this issue of Batman and Robin, the fight between Batman and Robin continues. Slade still has control of Robin. The fight goes for a turn when Batman starts winning the fight. Batman delivers a shocking blow that defeats Slade. As that ends everyone leaves the graveyard. In the bat cave, Dick and Damian are being treated to by Alfred. Alfred figures out that the undergruond railways for the bat signal on Wayne Manor. Batman and Robin confront Talia about what's going on. Robin has a privat...

    Jigsaw Puzzle 3

Things are finally starting to piece together in the Return of Bruce Wayne. This issue more focused on Damian, and his role as Robin. This included relation to Batman and Talia. And...one more person which would be too much of a spoiler here. The Good The whole 'mind controlled Damian' thing seemed to fit here. I enjoyed how Deathstroke's powers were used to their full potential, as well as Dick's Blüdhaven reference. Morrison is also setting up something big with Dr. Hurt, who I had been wantin...

    Just Plain Cheesy 1

I've barely been holding on to this series. Grant Morrison is just all over the place. Some call it genius, but not me.   So all these clues that they are looking for are CORNY. Plus, it seems like Dick is an idiot when we know he isn't. There was no drama here and no climax. Damien finds out he's being cloned and he seems to have no problem with it. Batman can be surrounded by the henchmen of one of his greatest enemies and gets the luxury of saying 'next time?' As for the reveal - WHO DIDN'T S...

"They're All Jokes." - Dick Grayson (Batman). Grant Morrison (Final Crisis, Batman R.I.P., Battle For The Cowl) finishes "Batman Vs. Robin" story line with artist Andy Clarke (R.E.B.E.L.S.). Together the two tell more about the family history of the Wayne family! Dick Grayson has been the sidekick of the Bat, and is now the Dark Knight. In this issue, Damian Wayne is being mind-controlled by Slade Wilson A.K.A Deathstroke, who is under command by the mother of Damian. Talia Al Ghul Wayne! She wa...
