    Vengeful Bats

The Talons have breached the Batcave and The Dark Knight must find a way to stop them to save Gotham City.

    Plus

Brilliant. This latest issue of Batman packs quite a punch and this will be something that you will be rereading multiple times. The artwork was nothing short of perfect. The layout was clean and was properly utilized to go hand in hand with the pace and mood of the story. Emotions are running high in this story and Snyder and Capulo were successful in putting it into their issue for readers to feel. The flashback at the end was perfect and showcased how well Snyder can write, especially with how well he wrote the dialogue for it. Recollections in the middle of a pivotal segment of a story are very difficult to pull off, yet he was able to write it in a way that readers will be holding on to their seats.

    Minus

The only take away from this issue will be the regular cover. It wasn't as good as the art inside this issue. It wasn't eye-catching and it will be hard to reel in new readers with that cover. The variants are amazing though.

    Final Score

Snyder and Capulo are both talented in their own right but the way they collaborate is amazing. Multiple powerhouses in a team tend to be disastrous most of the time but how they team up to iron everything correctly is mind-blowing. This is the Batman story to read right now and if you haven't picked up this issue yet, you need to rethink your whole life. 5/5 stars.

Batman #9The Talons have broken into Wayne Manor, and Batman isn’t playing nicely anymore. The Good:This issue has intense action right from the start! We pick up right where we left off with issue #8 and in full force. Bruce talks about the armored suit that was in the last issue, and we see some of the coolest gadgets and tricks of the Batcave. I won’t give anything away, but Batman goes to help with one of the assassination attempts and finds out some useful information that sets up a great, a...

THE GOOD: Greg Capullo continues to do an amazing job on art duties. I hope that he stays on the book for as long as possible. I really like the way the characters and how dark the background and city looks. The backup features art work is also stunning. Rafael Albuquerque is an amazing artist that has a different style but the same darkness to his work. The story is still the best there is. We get to see Bruce Wayne fight back the Court of Owls who have invaded his home. We also get to see him ...
