Speak soft words
This is the end of a major event in Batman´s life: the discover of a love (true ever lasting? He doesn´t know it yet), the redemption of an error from the past (He´s not to blame for Jason Todd´s death), admiting he has friends (Tim, Dick, Oracle, Alfred, Jim Gordon) and believing in second chances (specially when it comes from a man like Harvey Dent). It was a bumpy ride this story, having great moments with weak ones, and this issue was a sum of all these steps of the plot: it begun really weak, Hush fighting Batman wasn´t as great as I thought, then it became very interesting, since it still existed some loose ends (the last two dialogues were incredible). What the writing left something to desire, the art was impecable, flawless, uttlerly amazing and impressive, Jim Lee is the man, no doubt about it. The story wasn´t bad, it´s just what motivated Hush that kind let me down, other than that, the whole manipulation, the villains united, they were all great ideas. Loeb is a good writer, he just gets a little boring since he likes repetitiion a lot; there´s a constant in this book that can be described by this Batman´s thoughts: "My world of late has been a series of distractions, ruses and misdirections. Old villains acting in new ways. Friends twisted into acting as foes. In the midst of it all, Catwoman and I have begun...a relationship. Distractions".
4 out 5 (I would buy this series again and again, because of Jim Lee)
