That was intense....
Plot
Shit gets serious, with Bruce finding out that no anti drug is usefull to Joker's new toxin, which is ,apparently, his "masterpiece".Get that.
So he manages to find the source of the infection in an old(the oldest,to be frank) Hospital in Gotham. Some Jokerised people attack him,Joker has set his parents "crime scene" with other people, which was brilliant, and when he leaves the place Joker has something done to Jimbo, and we'll find out next issue.
Thoughts
Writing's good, cause Snyder's writing the book.Couldn't be more precise on that one.
This issue was REALLY scary........i mean,i was a little bit freaked out, when Jim found all the "hidden Jokers" in the pics of the old atricles about the Hospital.I was genuinely freaked out.First time after about 2 years ago, when we found out that the Court Of Owls was living in the Wayne Tower all along ,without Bruce knowing it.Two sincere comicbook scares, from ONE book by the same creative team.
We don't know how and why he's in the pics, though, that's interesting.Maybe it's the toxin that fucked with Jim's brain.Maybe Joker's tied in with this a little more that we thought he was.....or maybe he "touched" the pics before, knowing that either Jim or Bruce will look up this Hospital.
It's Joker,you never know.
I don't like Alfred's doughter.There.
I think the Batcave dynamic between Batman and Alfred is too strong to be kinda unbalanced by another character in there. You have a dozen more Batbooks to show other characters. The Batman book is for Batman and Alfred.
But that's just my opinion.
Also, one thing i didn't get,exacly......he was gone to the Hospital to find the source of the infection. He saw a bunch of Jokerised people, doctors,Joe Chill even(i dont know how,but anyway).......he saved the boy,who was to be killed by the Joker Chill (heh) and bailed from the building......he didnt find anything, just went in and went out.....anyway.
Another serious part of the issue was the fact that Jim killed Joker, and Joker wasn't killed.Again,it's Joker,so don't "immortal" him just yet......for all i know it's a bulletproof vest......just wait.
That's why i love this book so much.
I usually am very predictive about stuff in literature,movies,etc......THIS time,i 100% honestly thought he killed him......i was thinking "now what?" for a couple of pages. It was because of how the scene was done.Dramatically.Gave you this tone.
Plus i was scared from the previous two pages.
Capullo destroys.
Done.
Snyder and Capullo reminds me of why i still read comics.
Between the mediocrity and stubborness of Spider-Man,and the "absolutely nothing interesting" side of comics, there's that thing......that makes me excited for when it comes out.
Plus i love Batman more than life itself,so...that makes it even better.
So i must thank you two very very much.
