gustavoburciaga1's Batman #35 - Endgame, Part One; The Pale Man review

Snyder and Capullo are at it again!

The arc kicks off with a bang, crazy amounts of confusing scenes are happening right off the bat. As the story progresses you see a lot of new development within the city as well as the technology and can't help but wonder how it all came to happen (I'll have to read all of Eternal to find out).

    *SPOILER ALERT*

After seeing the cover one would think "oh it's the justice league against Batman and they're holding back again because they don't want to kill him blah blah..." No they are out for blood, they really want to kill Bruce and they are trying to do just that.

The Schway, just about everything in this issue: the art is amazing, I really enjoyed seeing Greg Capullo draw the Justice League. The story seems really fresh, I've seen Batman vs the League before but never to this extreme and knowing who's pulling the strings is terrifying. The Back up done by James Tynion is very interesting and spooky and gives me hope in his writing once again.

The Slag, the price and not having more pages, but even then I think the issue was worth the 5 dollars.

Final verdict, if you want a great Batman story or have thought about picking it up, Part one of Endgame is the best time to start. It's filled with colorful and dark pages, along with glorious writing.

So, this book is kind of a mixed bag for me. Overall, I enjoyed it, and damned if the ending didn't have me thinking "Pants to be darkened", but it kinda perpetuates something that has been irritating me in recent years...but I suppose I'm getting ahead of myself. First off, I should note that this takes place after the events of Batman Eternal. As such, things have changed quite a bit. Bruce, Alfred, and Julia are hiding out in a new base, which just happens to be the Court of Owls' old nest o...
