What took you so long Batman?

Remember last issue when Riddler took Gotham by storm, literally? Well Zero Year has finally started in Gotham City and Riddler is at the helm. Written by Scott Snyder with artwork by Greg Capullo (penciler) and Danny Miki (inker).

    The Good

Zero Year in all of it's beauty.
Zero Year in all of it's beauty.

Zero Year has given us (readers) a glimpse of what Batman's first year looked like. So far we've seen he's been cocky, a loner, and outwitted by the Riddler at every turn. With the ending of the last issue, Batman failed to prevent the Riddler from switching the power back on and giving him complete control -- and with that fail, Riddler makes the rules!

Scott Snyder gives readers a good glimpse of what we can expect from this next story arc. He did a good job at establishing what the world looks like and the circumstances that surround it. The important characters (Batman, Jim, Alfred, and Riddler) were all introduced into this first issue for this story arc really well and it created a desire to see how they will react to these new circumstances.

The artwork by Scott Snyder and company was terrific as usual! The art team always creates a beautifully illustrated comic and I'm always excited with the turn of every page.

    The Bad

    No complaints.

    The Verdict

Will you be joining Batman and Jim on this adventure?
Will you be joining Batman and Jim on this adventure?

Batman and Jim are reunited to fight against the Riddler and Scott Snyder has really established a cool and interesting Zero Year for Batman. Things are looking up with Batman planting his feet and getting ready for an all out war, I recommend this story arc greatly! 5 out of 5.
