Simply amazing as to how professional the starting point of this issue was introduced. With writer Scott Snyder and artist Greg Capullo introducing the first part of the Knife Trick, Batman finds himself involved within two separate stories as both costumed hero of the night investigating a “weak link” at Arkham and as the multi-millionaire Bruce Wayne who’s decided to reshape Gotham City into something much better. The beginning of this issue starts as a wonderful monologue. This is carried throughout. Many of my favorite issues of Batman comics have contained this technique. What I REALLY loved about this comic was the first few opening pages. Some of the coolest style and a great storytelling technique with a little surprise. The art could have been better overall but as I read the comic the deftness with which it was implemented with truly impressed me. All sins aren't forgiven but I won't hold anything...

WritingScott Snyder, cooks up a fantastic story for the re introduction of the Detective. Bringing Batman to the newer crowds he uses every small way to make the issue fantastic t read. He starts with an action sequence involving the top brass of criminals. Introduces tech which is plausible and useful. Gives a grand speech setting the main theme for the story. And follows by a cliff hanger. Everything you would need in an introductory issue.ArtGreg Capullo's art is fantastic throughout the issu...
