Plot Summary
On the day of the launch of a mysterious new book, 'The Mars Conspiracy', the book's author, editor and printers are killed, the warehouse is burned to the ground and the launch bookshop is destroyed. Oracle sends Batgirl to the library to track down the copy that will have been added to their stock as a legal deposit. Here, Batgirl encounters a librarian who helps her stop the strange robotic creature which attempts to burn the library down in order to destroy the book. The library is saved, but the book is destroyed. Later, Batgirl encounters Spoiler, who tells her that Batman has fired her from her position as Robin, but she won't give up on crime-fighting.
