Batgirl has come to Montenegro, home of base of operations of the new League of Assassins, to seek out Lady Shiva and learn whether they are mother and daughter. Head of the League of Assassins, Nyssa, is well aware of her approach and ensures that Batgirl meets Shiva, the League's new sensei. The students all greet Batgirl as 'the one who is all', and Shiva refuses to answer her question. The two of them fight, but Nyssa calls in Mister Freeze to get them apart - she needs both of them alive.
