Did this issue of Batgirl drown in the flood or rise to the top!

In this issue of Batgirl, Stephanie begins this story trying to stop this guy from detonating himself and everyone along with him on the subway. Batgirl stops him in her first well done success. Commissioner Gordon congratulated Steph for a job well done, which is very rare. A rain drop falls on Stephanie and for some reason it was kind of cool. As Oracle tries to befriend Wendy we find out that her dad was the evil Calculator. Her brother Marvin was killed trying to be a heroe, which is also how Wendy became paralyzed. There is a hypnotized man who speaks in a matrix form that is hypnotizing people. Batgirl experiences a traumatic moment when she accidentally killed the hypnotized guy. At the end we see Wendy's father talking to the corpse of Wendy's brother Marvin telling him the plot to get Wendy and kill Oracle. The story was good. I always kind of like when people are hypnotized into being evil. There was an obvious theme of revenge here, which I thought was pretty cool. Now on to the details. The cover I thought was very good. The cover was so detailed, but the colors were a little too boring, although it gave a good dark look. The penciling like all the other Batgirl volume 3 comics was very basic. I would like to see them do more with it. The coloring was average. I wish they would use different shades or something because at this point they should change something. Since there was no crossover that will not be rated. My favorite facial expressions were on pages 8(panel 5), 18(panel 1,3), 22(panel 1). The combat scene was poor. It was with her and the guy on the subway. It was way too quick. So overall this Batgirl was pretty good. Unfortunately it had some flaws, but don't pass it by. Batgirl issue 9 gets 3 rain drops out of 5.

A Drizzle of Rain Starts A Flood 0

The cover is nice but, really has nothing to do with the story. So, i really was disappointed with the cover. The story begins with Batgirl saving a train full of Gotham passengers from a man who wants to blow up the train. The best part of these panels was on page 6 ,this is including back and fronts. It is the first panel on the top were Batgirl kicks the guy holding the bomb in the face. Her face in this panel is very dark and mysterious and I love it. We see Commissioner Gordon complement St...
