    Wanting More 0

Last issue was one of my favorite issues from the New 52. This week, Barbra continues chasing the mysterious mirror. How does this issue feel compared to #1?  THE GOOD: I really like the art. I think that it DC ever wanted to make Gotham feel the same, this is how they should do it. It's very beautiful, but keeps it looking like a comic. The story is where it falls off a bit. I really like hearing Barbra's inner dialog. I also really think the mirror sounds cool, but I just wish we would've got ...

Mirror, Mirror on the Cape... 0

So after this issue of Batgirl I'm having mixed feelings. The issue itself was good overall. But I'm not excited about Batgirl anymore. Maybe Gaile Simone was oversold or maybe I just had fond memories of Babs, but I'm not dying to read the next issue.Babs is a little too wordy with her thoughts. I like seeing into the thoughts of characters, but for some reason I found it a little distracting here. Also, from her thoughts, there are perhaps some more hints that she was never Oracle. The fighting...

    End To All Miracles 0

The Story: Batgirl does everything she can to stop the Mirror and find out who he really is. My Thoughts:Gail Simone really turns up the heat in this second issue giving readers a lot to think about. We learn more about this new villain Mirror and we can begin to deduce more about him from the new information given to us. Personally I like him. I think he'll make a pretty cool villain and I hope he'll be around for a while. This issue sort of serves as an origin for him as we learn what happened...

    Cut short is right... 2

I really just can't get over just how weak this Barbara Gordon is. She's weak willed and a physically weak character. Top that off with the lack of humor and wit that she's always had being missing and she's for some reason not dating Dick Grayson... this Barbara Gordon is just not the woman we all know and love. This perhaps the worst(or close to, given it is better than Batgirl Special #1) incarnations we have ever seen and it's a real shame considering the writer.Moving beyond that it is elud...

So many great stories being set up 0

Here is a video review for Batgirl issue 2. The issue is about Batgirl trying to defeat and new villain and how she is dealing with returning as batgirl after she was in a wheelchair for a couple of years. Tell me what you guys think:...

Like Barbara On Her New Legs, Batgirl Stumbles, But Doesn't Fall 0

The Good: This cover is even better than the first. It evokes a great sense of suspense, Barbara's overexerted herself, trying too hard with her healed legs without giving them enough of a test run. But even when she's hiding right around the corner, she hasn't lost her spark. She's Batgirl, ready to fight back even if her legs are failing her. On that note, I really like that Barbara isn't just 'healed.' She's not completely better. Here and there we see her get too into her Batgirl role and ov...

    Babs faces her reflection 0

Barbara returns as Batgirl in issue 2, but it still doesn't reveal much about how she can walk again. The Good: I love the Adam Hughes covers, they are really gorgeous. We get into the past/mind of Mirror Master which makes him somewhat of a sympathetic character. I like the concept of Mirror kind of like a nod to Scott Snyder. This issue finally shows how Barbara is different from the other Batgirls, she has to use different tactics to fight this villain. The scene with the roommate was hilariou...
