Batgirl #16 0

CeremonyTo see this review with images, Click Here.I have been thrilled by the last couple of issues of Batgirl, but I was a little disappointed when Babs turned the tables on Joker at the skating rink last issue only to be defeated by a cheap Ace Joker had hidden up his sleeve. Now, it looks like there are wedding bells and amputation gauze in Barbara's near future, and I can't help but wonder if Simone can pull off a satisfying finish to this arch which is more pleasing than the near resolutio...

I Always Laugh At Weddings 0

First, I just want to say, I love the cover to this issue. Now we have the big wedding of Barbara and Joker. Such a lovely couple. Barbara's mother is still being held hostage in the bowling ally, and Batgirl has to go through with the shame wedding. Joker has a wedding present though, in the form of a chainsaw.Just when things are going smoothly for the ceremony, James Jr shows up and objects. Then we see Batgirl snap. Joker took a lot of her life back in the day, and not only did it mess up her...

Top Notch Tie-In 0

4.5/5"Death of the Family" is massive or at least feels that way with all the tie-in books. Scope is rarely a problem but it is the one flaw of this event. It's just too much at times. That said, you don't need to get all the books to get the main story of Batman's battle with the Joker but as a collector it's hard for me to pass on any tie-in issue. Of all the titles involved, however, Batgirl would be on the top of my list. Batgirl #16 continues Joker's assault on Barbara and his twisted, biza...

Wedding Crasher 0

I have really started to love this series, and am happy I picked it up during the Death of the Family crossover. I hope that this series will stay as good as it's been during this crossover, as I've really enjoyed it, so much that I've decided to continue getting the series.PlotThis issue sees Batgirl, and Joker's wedding take place but it doesn't quite to Joker's plans, especially once James Gordon Jr. gets involved.ReviewThis was a great issue, but a bit of a disappointing ending to the Batgir...

Not Like This 0

ReviewIt is finally there. A flashback to Barbara in a wheelchair. Taking some time to explore the lost New 52 chapter of her life in a wheelchair. But whatever you do, don't blink. Blink and it is gone.Seriously, there were two pages to it that felt more of a focus on Batgirl that I could accept coming out of the New 52. I would want nothing more than for this to be a focus for a little while. But wait, we got some Death in the Family to focus on.So my question about Barbara is this: what type ...

Chainsaw Vows 0

I'm not sure how I feel about this cover. It's a lot simpler than the other Death of the Family Batgirl covers, but it's pretty effective in that simplicity. Though I can't really tell what the deal is with the other eye, one of them is the normal costume... and the other is NOT The Joker. Why is Batgirl's right eye have that kind of costume over it? It makes her look a tiny bit like Cassandra Cain at a glance. The artwork is once again inconsistent, split between Ed Benes and Daniel Sampere. Ed ...
