    Batgirl: Year One...Done. 1

Plot & Action: It's the end of Flood. Batgirl and Oracle take on Techno-Zombies and The Calculator. There's also an investment into Steph as Batgirl as she gets a brand new ally to cap off her year one. There's nothing revolutionary about the plot, but it's solid storytelling.Character Wise: There's some good Calculator, Oracle, and Wendy moments, but I still find myself captivated by Stephanie. Miller's done a good job of making her different within the Batfamily. She's the one that really ...

    Who is Proxy? 1

Cover I always like the cover art better than the art in the comic for this series and this issue also proves that. Story Batgirl has to save oracle from the calculator and Wendy is helping Steph. Oracle is connected with the calculators mind. So, oracle gets to go into the Calculators worst memories. For example his mother trapping him in a cage intill he got the rubix cube correct. Also another example is his wife killing herself. Eventually with the help of Wendy Batgirl saves Babs. Then the...

After The Flood comes a new day 0

Its Batgirl to the rescue as she work her way into Calculator's hideout to save Oracle and Gotham, while Oracle defend herself while in the mind of Calculator.  Pros:   I particularly like how Stephanie handled herself in this issue or rather, the writing of Bryan Miller. Like I said with Tim Drake (Wayne), inner monologues, Steph's inner monologues work well and her personality is great. This issue also gets some laughs in while she try to save Oracle as well. I like Steph's determination in tr...

    BLONDE POWER! 1

Story: Still free falling from the sky since last issue, Steph is about to go in to Calculator's lair. Babs is still trapped in Noah's mind and she cannot find the exit. Steph reaches the lair but she has to pass some lasers. Steph runs into Wendy's brother Marvin. Oh yeah her dead brother Marvin. Babs still struggles with Noah in his head. Steph sets off an alarm. Babs still fights Noah in his mind Steph stumbles into even more trouble with a giant nanotech monster. Wendy crashes in through the...

    Year one ends 0

Speedy review:   Let us pause my brothers and sisters and just look once again at the face of a great cover!  Artgerm knocks the covers over the outer wall every month.  His covers pop on the shelf and draw your eye.  In fact this past Wednesday when I walked into my LCS, Joe's Comics in Geneseo, NY, Joe the owner was doing my pulls and picked up this issue and commented on the greatness.  Brian Q Miller in his first year has developed Steph into the role of Batgirl.  She has come a long way a...

    Review: Batgirl #12 0

The Story Batgirl Rising: The Flood, Part Four of Four: Oracle is trapped in the mind of the Calculator. While Stephanie in the process of saving her, plunges herself through a rainstorm from thirty-five thousand feet. All in the effort  to just  parachute onto Calculator's  secret compound. Very Stephanie of her...    The Good Let's see... Well first there's Stephanie's continuous, self-disparaging monologues there are always pretty silly, but, in this last issue of this arc, we see a lot m...
