    I'll Admit It: I Like Stephanie 4

Plot & Action: We continue the "Flood" storyline where Calculator looks to have revenge on Oracle for previous wrongdoings. A techno-virus has hit a lot of Gotham, and Batgirl is on her own to get the recently kidnapped Oracle. Bryan Q. Miller stacks the deck against Stephanie before giving her a point to counterattack. This issue isn't as great as the previous two in terms of plot and action, but it does get us from point A to B. Character Work: Stephanie Brown continues to be a delight. I ...

    Review: Batgirl #11 0

Oracle resists a dream attack from the Calculator while Batgirl combats an army of zombified heroes and villains in Gotham.  The Good Hands down, the highlight of this issue was the glimpses of the dream Calculator's putting Oracle through to get at her secrets. Babs can walk.......wait this must be a dream 2

Cover The cover is awesome with Man-bat and Steph. I really love the cover and love the rain on the cover to show a flood. Which is the title of this story arc. Story Babs wakes up in bed a Dick walks into the room. Babs can walk and her lie in normal like it use to be when her legs use to work and Bruce is even alive but, Babs knows that something is wrong. The calculator has the zombified Babs and the only reason he will not kill her is to get all of her secrets. Stephanie is trying to defea...

Barbara vs Calculator and Batgirl fights for her life 0

Stephanie. Your life is sucking pretty bad right now. But that doesn't mean you're giving up right now right?  Pros:  The first few pages caught me off guard a little which is good. Seeing Barbara in her "dream" sequence was a nice twist. Stephanie fighting against Catwoman, Huntress and Man-Bat was awesome as well. Catwoman I can kind of understand getting beat easily by Steph, but with Huntress and Man-Bat, I like how she had to think on her feet knowing that those two can be dangerous.  Like ...

    Just Good 0

I’ll begin this by mentioning that there isn’t anything inherently wrong with this issue.  I feel like Bryan Q. Miller is doing a knockout job developing a voice for Stephanie.  Sure, Lee Garbett & Pere Perez’s pencils sort of make Stephanie’s boobs fluctuate size on a nearly frame by frame basis, but the art’s overall good.  Everyone’s doing a good job.  My problem is that the comic is doing things that have been done before.  Sure, these are all sort of training exercises for Steph...
