On last night's season finale of Arrow, a first look was shown for next season's The Flash. Now The CW has released a super-long five plus minute look at the show.

What did you think? The show is set to begin this Fall and is scheduled for Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m.

Did they say CLYDE Mardon??? Cool.

Other than that though, this looks VERY MUCH like a CW show and I'm not interested.

I think watching this made me realize how dark and gloomy Starling City is, because this setting is a lot brighter. I'm glad for that. I thought Gustin was charismatic in his Arrow appearances so I'll give this a shot, but I wish they wouldn't start off with Weather Wizard or one of the Rogues --- this show will probably go through the same teething pains Arrow did while trying to establish itself, and during that period any villain who shows up gets the short end of the stick.

Looks awesome, I can't wait!! It looks a little more 'CW' than Arrow, but with the lighter tone, it's to be expected. Still, i'm sure this show will do well.

But, did Arrow just swing off like Spider-Man/Batman at the end there? lol I didn't expect that haha. And seeing Flash in action makes me sad that Smallville didn't have the benefit of todays technology. That 5 minute clip had better special effects than a season finale of Smallville...

Not gonna lie, DC's tv stuff (Constantine, Flash, Arrow and Gotham) has me more excited than anything Marvel is doing in film right now.

Has potential. I'm hoping they learned something from Arrow and won't take so long to get good

Wow, this looks excellent.

The acting and effects look phenomenal. The teaser for the special effects after the Arrow season finale totally undersold how cool it is when he superspeeds.

Isn't it the same guys that made Arrow though? So you would think they would have learned from it.

I love this costume. Its a brilliant blend of Artie the Strongest Man in the World and Mark Mothersbaugh.

So we've basically seen the pilot in 5 minutes.

Flash being my favorite DC character, I think it's needless to say that I am absolutely STOKED.

The costume still looks like a 1985 Flash movie to me, but the trailer was very good. I was impressed. And an actual supervillian. Sweet.

Amazing! What a week...first the Batsuit reveal now this. My head is gonna explode!

Sigh, Barry Allen, the blandest Flash that ever was. So "aw-shucks, golly-gee" that he makes silver age Superman seem deep and conflicted by comparison, no matter which era's Barry you pick. Brought back only because Morrison, Didio, and Johns can't stand to not have the incarnations of heroes they grew up with still around (also because they figured it would help sales). Seems to be the case here, only they're bringing in the Geoff Johns-special (retcon of parent dying a previously unheard of tragic death during the hero's childhood) to add pathos. Meh, this looks better than the Constantine preview (in that it's more focused and less dependent on bad CGI) but I'll keep my expectations low. Some bad cheesy moments still here. Kid Barry's "I wasn't fast enough," his mom's subsequent response, and Green Arrow giving him a pep talk being chief among them.

Was Thawne in a wheelchair too? That's what made me think it was Wally's Zoom.

I really like it. The costume looks waaay better in motion, and I'm glad that they're making a point of giving it a different tone from Arrow. Plus, live action Rogues! I'm with @inferiorego, the rogues are easily the best part of the Flash for me.

I want a live action version of Captain Boomerang!!!!

@fallschirmjager: That's what made me think it was Zolomon, the best friend of the Flash, stuck in a wheelchair, later became a villain cause Flash refused to help him, and they could be taking liberties with Wally's rogues being Barry's rogues, after all, Arrow takes some liberties of its own, lol.

Could be an amalgamation.

He very much resembles the character in who helps Barry figure out how his powers work in the New 52. And they are basing a lot of this show on that.

Read it if you haven't. Buccelleto/Manapul's run is terrific.

Oh, believe me, I'm reading it, and it is awesome. But yeah, you're right, he does remind me of Elias, it could very well be a mixture of the two, or just Elias took a bad tumble down some stairs one fateful day.
