Rebirth?!?!?

Frenzied old school DC fans may be placated by the return of another old school character, so soon after Hal Jordan's triumphant return...

What I hear is... Geoff Johns, Ethan Van Sciver, “Barry Allen: Rebirth."

CBR website have a few details, but nothing concrete so far... it looks like Johns and Sciver have been picked up for a new series from DC, though no details as to what it is so far...

I'll be the first to say it however, I'll believe it, when I'm holding a copy of it in my hands...

saying that though, i can't think of anyone I'd rather see write Barry Allen's return than Geoff Johns...

i know about them which is why i said he was one of the real flashes.

if they bring Jay Garrik into a comic where he acctually does something useful unlike in his recent appearances id say him but i always liked Barry more than the others

i agree wholeheartedly. Wally is a great character, don't get me wrong, i just think it's time to bring back Barry.

while I disagree about the Jason Todd part I agree that Barry should stay dead especially since this reeks of silver age fanboys f@ping.

they aren't, only announcement I heard regarding Wally in Flash rebirth are that he'll be in it (duh) and he'll get a costume redesign by Ethan Van Shiever

They better don't steal his thunder like they did to Kyle though

Wally Is having major problems with his powers in his recent issues. i think wally will retire in his spot and barry will take it. hate to say it, but i can see it happening

Honestly, he should stay dead. I didn't want Hal back, but hes a memeber of an Intergalactic Corps all weilding the same weapon, and having multiple GL's not only works it enhances the Mythos. There can only be 1 Fastest Man Alive. I never read a Barry Allen comic in my life, and i have no desire too. Wally has been the Flash my entire life, and this is the one Legacy in DC comics that actually works like a Legacy is supposed to..i'm horribly dissapointed they didn't make Bart work, and it's even worse since they've made it clear he wasn't supposed to be Flash long anyway that they made him a sacrificial Lamb. I have faith in Geoff, i really do...but I have no intrest in a Flash Corps...or in being made to beleive Barry should take up the mantle in Wally's place..Juswt have no intrest in it, i'll wait for the trade, though i'm probably done with Flash for a while. (All granted..that's how i felt about Hal replacing Kyle (Who is THE Green Lantern as far as i'm concerned) an Geoff did a great job...so maybe..just maybe..)

It's my hope that Wally or Barry retires. Jay has his place. Kid Flash had his place. But I agree, we don't need two guys in red pajamas running around.

Barry Allen

Barry Allen is the Silver Age Flash and will always be the first Silver Age superhero. He is the second Flash in the Flash family tree, and has recently returned to life after his famed death in Crisis on Infinite Earths. His actions led to the New 52.
