How is Barry Allen different from Superman?

I didn't start reading any flash books until the series by Geoff Johns, so I don't have a very great understanding of Barry Allen. I'm starting to like him, but I feel like Barry has the same personality as Superman. It seems like you could easily replace Barry Allen in his book with Clark, and nothing would be different. Can someone please explain the personality differences between Barry Allen  Superman to me?

I think he's more goofy, whereas Superman is more serious.

They both grew have the same morals. Doesn't mean they're the same person. As Jotham pointed out, one is more of a serious person. While the other jokes around a lot.

My only exposure to the Flashes has been in Geoff Johns's current Flash series and the Justice League cartoon. I heard that the Flash is not nearly as jokey as the cartoon, and in the series so far, Barry hasn't been cracking jokes like Spider-man or another jokey character.
All I've seen of Barry is his serious side and his Midwestern morals, which is probably why he reminds me of Clark so much.
If Barry is jokier than Clark, can someone recommend a good story in which he's really funny (or post a scan)? I want to get to know him better.

It's most likely because he's just came back, and in the time he's gone and few of his best friends have died. So it's sort of a serious time. I'll have a look, however I don't have many on Barry.
