Forging himself into the pinnacle of physical and mental potential and becoming "king" of his prison, he learned of the Batman, "king" of Gotham City . Escaping and studying his quarry, Bane challenged and defeated Batman, becoming known as "The Man Who Broke the Bat".
There might be some hope,if you'd all look at Bane's gauntlets then you'd notice it say's Finch with respect to Kelley Jones.Now Jones was the cover artist of the batbooks back in the late 80's,early 90's.His covers were rather atrocious,since he too exagerrated his characters.
Hopefully this is just a tribute.

The solicits for #5 and #6 are somewhat ambiguous as to what Banes role will be in this arc. It says that Bruce has to "find a path to overcome Bane", which could mean a number of different things.

FORGET THE DAMN VENOM! HE'S NOT A BLOCKBUSTER! HE'S A MILITARY TACTICIAN WHO ONCE HAD A STRENGTH BOOST DURING HIS FIRST APPEARANCE! THAT'S IT!
Jesus christ, so the terrible "thug" versions of Bane constantly being shown the in the media have finally seeped into the comics and destroyed the character for good. Now he's nothing but another Rhino or Killer Croc...terrific. From being Batman's Equal in nearly every way, to just being another bruiser. Way to go, DC....

My thoughts precisely.But eh it's David Finch,DC still has capable writers in Simone,Snyder and Hine.I'm certain one of them will get a shot at Bane.
